My thoughts are active and wondering as well ...
Received a brief message Sunday evening from Garry, confirming that he was scheduled
for noon on Monday (yesterday). He mentioned that he will send an update and I will not delay
to post his word for us all.
I took liberty to send a text message to Garry this morning on behalf of us all,
wishing him an initial feeling of relief as we await, in good time,
his word on this "new road" that we support and follow with him on.

Message from Garry via his fiancé - 24 hrs after surgery ...

Hi Gang,
Surgery over. Appears to have gone well.
Full recovery one month. Still some cancer in place.
Waiting to see plastic surgeon about next steps.

it was a lot of fun for 2 hours yesterday
Garry is in great spirits and is looking forward to spring
he may stay in Edmonton for a bit as there is more to do, this part change
takes a bit more than ingrown toenails,

Garry's lady is terrific, I am not a hug guy but had to hug her, a real nice
lady and they have love in their eyes when they talk, I am happy for them

He will take a lot longer to type stuff and make a few mistakes (wow you folks
might think he types like me for a while)

He said to say he and appreciates the kind thoughts (and even the not so kind it is all good)

BUT ONE THING I DO NOT UNDERSTAND AND AM HAVING TROUBLE WITH

not long after I arrived and was doing my level best to entertain them both

Garry called for more pain medication,

help me with this as I am confused

ha-ha
it was fun and the young fellow is not a fan of hospitals but am warming up to
the idea the are necessary in our society and life journey

again on behalf of Gerry and his better half (and trust me she is ------that did not
come out right)
thanks to all who passed on good thoughts, it worked it made both of them smile and be thankful for this band of merry misguided troublemakers
