Announcement 2021 C8 allocations now being released to dealers

I have a c8 with W/N, deposit placed in June. I was told based on 2020 allocations and no major shutdowns from Covid I can expect June/July 2021 delivery. No actual number provided.
If they are telling you June or July then you are well down their list. You won't get matched to an allocation until about February or March I'm guessing.
2 very important things you need to get from your dealer is your place on their list and how many allocations they are expecting. They haven't been told their total allocations yet, but they can tell you how many they got for 2020's and how many they expect based on their original 2020 allocations

All lessons learned if I every purchase another vett. I called three local dealers here in windsor Essex. Was given how many they had orders for and allocations. Problem was they all forecasted 2 maybe 3 years before I’d get one. At that point I literally google Canada’s biggest corvette dealer, W/N. When Jeff told me mid to late summer of 2021. I was in. I had no knowledge of this form or even to think of allocations. So now, fingers crossed and wait.

I read some of the allocations that US dealerships are getting. WOW. Some more than 100 a month.

Well... I was at W/N Yesterday and I was told they have 6 or 7 2021 allocations? If that makes sense?
Regardless, I thought I was gonna be on that allocation order.... but nope... sounds like I’m a spring order (not complaining as we gonna get snow soon)

anyways, I have a feeling I never get a straight answer?
Anyone order from W/N?

Again I put my deposit in October 2019...
I placed an order with W/N last October also. Your are right ,my guy doesn't give a straight answer either. Last time I spoke to him , I was around 30 on the list (no specific number)

When B/G was at full production for the C7 what was there output 34,000 cars? I’d assume GM is expecting the same production numbers for the C8. So safe to safe dealers should expect better allocations then 202?

The 2020 plan was 40k, then the strike and then the pandemic. 2020 will end up producing 20k C8's. Let's hope 2021 will be higher, GM has not announced when they will begin the 2022 MY. Then we also hope there are no plant shutdowns or part shortages.

You will need to know the answers to the two key question mentioned in by other posters.

Otherwise you are in for a long wait and possible disappointment. These dealers will keep accepting deposits and stringing along customers.

Some US folks have stated reaching 2000 and 3000 status already with their 2021 submissions.

I'm hearing that as early as Tuesdays acceptance by GM that these initial allocations will go 3000 (accepted by production control). Where they sit in terms of production sequencing will be too soon to tell.

It's my opinion that GM knows way more concerning production than us randos merely trying to calculate production numbers.

I doubt 3000 already, but 2000 is certain as that means an allocation has been matched to an order

We'll know on Tuesday!

I'm only repeating what the dealers are saying and what others in the US are noting. If you think about it it's highly likely because there's been thousands of C8's in production queue for months at 3000.

Again, with a month to go GM would be putting people into queue.

True enough. 2000 and 3000 are almost the same anyway.

Does anyone know the number of allocations WN receives on a monthly basis? Thanks.

I already have a deposit (July 2020) in with them. All I've been told is, we have a list and will call. been waiting patiently.
