peterborough airport lunch.

That really was an excellent day and getting invited for the grand tour of the Herc was a big bonus. This was the stretch version which is 14 feet longer than the regular one. I was telling Steve about our son and son-in-law riding in the Hercules' into Afghanistan from Dubai when they went to Kabul and Kandahar. If you think regular flights can be uncomfortable, then you wouldn't like riding in these with their webbed seating. Navion, if you can't fly into Lindsay on March 20, perhaps you could make it there for April 24 another Wednesday. Could be any day of the week as far as that goes because most of us are retired.

Sorry I missed it. Sounds great.

I just got home from Tennessee. What a trip.

More when I recover my sanity.

glad to hear you're back in one piece bob, some of those road trips can get pretty harrowing. yesterday's lunch was alot of fun, never in a million years could we have imagined a tour of a cf hercules. it was nice to meet rob, eric, and pat's friend adam. and good to catch up again with keith, pat, and kent. pat and i discovered that we have some mutual friends and aquaintances. too bad you couldn't be there. doug.

Keith, Lindsay on March 20 will be a little early because of my knees. However, April 24would be possible depending on weather of course and I would fly in for either breakfast or lunch at the airport. Keep me posted please.

With April 24, there is a very good chance that we could have our cars out. We brought our car home from Bradford April 25 last year and there had been good weather before that. That morning there was a light dusting of snow just to the north of us with lots of salt. We can hope for warmth and sunshine. We'll just have to keep April 24 in mind. If the weather man co-operates and it is suitable with the rest of the guys, it might just happen. :)

sed for a pic.

Doug, I find that if you open two windows one with Photo bucket and one with the forum will work better. Leave your quick reply up and just go back and forth bringing one picture at a time. Not sure how many you can have to a post but I've had as many as ten. Just keep trying and sooner or latter, Bingo you've got it!

I do the same Rob -- works great for me -- and I post as many as 90 or so pictures sometimes.

Doug, looks like you got her now. The only other thing I would suggest is, to hit enter after dropping the each link and the pictures will stack vertically instead of the horizontal stretch. Other wise, well done

i thought it was really something that the flight crew gave us the opportunity to have a tour of the hercules. spending the time to answer questions and inform us about different features of the plane. hats off to the canadian armed forces and thanks for making our get together so memorable. :canada:

I studied the photos and it really looks like a great bonding time .Due to the great distance I'll probably never meet most of you plus I'd feel out of place .Yes ,I think I'd be uncomfortable because I'm so much younger :D
