Peace River N Da House - The arrival of Garry's VY 06 Z06

Count down to firing up the Beast From the West .

Wednesday is the day :D

Good afternoon Manny and crew,

I think that is fantastic news! The guys from the GP club have been pressuring me to tell them who is doing the build, some expressing concern (again, Albertan's!) that I sent it to you, do you know what you're doing and all of that stuff. They wanted the website where this is being discussed and I selfishly told them that I wasn't going to reveal that to them until after the dyno run as I didn't want them to possibly know before I did!!!

I know, as usual sort of silly of me but I'd like to be one of the first to know rather than, for example, seeing the results posted on the GP car club website!!!!

You do realize of course I may have to either take a sleeping pill or a good brandy in order to be able to sleep tonight.

What a wonderful journey in my life this has been, thanks for making the realization of a dream from being cancer free even better for me.............

We should have had a betting pool on the outcome - that might have been fun.

Cheers,

Garry

I am killing myself laughing , "do they know what they are doing "

That is just too funny Gary

We have a few lose ends to tie up in the morning , just some wiring and need to get the oil pressure up before we light the wick .

Sometime in the afternoon we will be posting up :canada

Garry it is our pleasure and honor to be your facilitators for your dream .

Good morning everybody!

Well, I was only awake twice during the night. I even had a dream (honestly) about the shop and car as this takes place today which for me is very unusual. For whatever reason, it is my experience that it is a two year period before I dream about someone I've met.

I am not sure when I was last this excited, it has been a few years for sure.

I'll keep my feet grounded as there are always unexpected bugs that can pop up, things that Manny and the crew will learn as they do the 1st run, maybe it needs upgraded injectors or something.

But to be there for the awakening of this forced induction LS7, I'd take the day off work........

Good luck today!

Cheers,

Garry

I don't know Garry, maybe the GP boys are right? Does Manny really know what he is doing? Hahahaha! That is funny. I would be worried if Manny had "Performance Possibly" as his shops slogan instead of "Performance Perfected". If Manny really wanted to make his shop slogan accurate from what I've read and seen, I imagine it would be "Performance- Customer Service - Pride - Knowledge - Fun - Attitude Perfected", but that wouldn't all fit so he had to shrink it down to just Performance Perfected.:D

HELLO , check 1-2 -Check 1-2

Is this thing on

Ok guys , we are just going to give you a little tease today , as we will not have time to get it on the roller for the numbers until tomorrow morning .

Here is a small clip to keep you going until the morning .

All done in the engine bay

Good afternoon Manny,

As is the way with things in the world, sometimes it takes a little longer to get it done. So I'm going to keep my chin up as I also know that there are some things that are worth waiting for.........

Cheers,

Garry

PS, the clip has the engine cranking for 11 sec but not running, is this the right one??

Good afternoon Colin,

Yep. I know. Not like I'm going to go outside and jump in it and go for a cruise after all!!I've always prided myself on my patience and this is just another example of why being able to do this is so important.

I revel in my new low weight today, being able to drop my weight on the TM personal setting another 5 lb increment. Maybe that is why I managed to lose 2 lb since yesterday.......my reward for another day until car results which which case I could make the arguement for waiting for another two or three days!

Do I ever like that Dasilva Motorsports decal on the radiator cover.

But I'm still thinking it might be nice to have one on the top of the windshield. or might that scare off too many potential victims??!!

Cheers,

Garry

Garry , its the priming clip we did for the oil pressure .

The internet here is all screwed up , and really slow for some reason .

I am trying to load the start up vid , hang tight .

We just loaded the car on the Dyno for tomorrow morning's pulls .

Good evening Manny,

Good grief Manny it is suppertime. Send your staff home and go have supper with your wife!

Having said that listening to the car run would be pretty cool!

But tomorrow will dawn another bright and new day and that will be soon enough......

Tomorrow will be a glorious day to remember though, it has been so much fun getting to this point.

Oddly no railcar for grain today and I get my son tomorrow......it will be nice to show him the car running and the dyno run too!

Cheers,

Garry

Here is the sound clip as well as a few pics I took just before leaving for the night , of your car all ready strapped down for tomorrows runs:
