Just want to personally thanks Garry for giving Dasilva Motorsports the privilege of turing his 2006 Z06 into his dream car :canada:

Good morning Manny,

Being no doubt a manly man there are tears in my eyes right now! How wonderful to see it has arrived safe and sound.

What relief! No CN train accidents (happens with grain and fertilizer cars only it seems).

My hats off to Livingston Transport for taking such good care of my baby and if it could not be here with me then probably the next best place is with Dasilva Motorsports!

Now I have pictures to see when I am lonely to see it.

It is sort of like an early Christmas here................

Cheers,

Garry

Beautiful car Garry, it's in good hands and I'm looking forward to following it's progress throughout the winter months. Spring will be here before you know it.

Merry Christmas Garry from all of us at Dasilva Motorsports :D

I'm suddenly reminded of what Flounder said in Animal House "OH BOY IS THIS GREAT!"

Sort of sums up the feeling right now.

So glad to see your baby has arrived. And the car looks great. I might even jump over to Manny's and have a close up look.
By the way...love your licenses plate, so fitting ..
Congratulation Gary........ "This is going to be great."

Awwwwwwwwwesome! Let the build begin!!! Glad to see your car has arrived in much nicer weather than we've been having here and will be wine and dined until Spring!

Good afternoon Gentlemen,

Sure hard to imagine all the changes in my life this year. All good things too. 2012 so far has been a banner year in pretty well every part of my life.

I am really excited to see the work start and I only wish that I could be dropping by from week to week until it is done.

Having said that and hearing how every time somebody goes into Manny's they come out with a lighter wallet but much faster. The temptations that Manny gives are hard enough to resist over an email or phone call let alone being there in person so maybe it is a good thing I'm a little ways away.

I keep checking my mail daily for when my Carbon Credit Solution cheque arrives to see how much and what more, basically cosmetically, I can still get done.

One area I am thinking about is that afterward outside of sounding different there is going to be no indication of the changes done to the car.

I was wondering if, after the build and final dyno number, I could get new Z06 emblems for the side with the 505hp replaced with the new number. Sort of subtle. Or maybe I should just go with the totally stock, sleeper look with no outside clue?

Cheers,

Garry

The Z06 HP badges would be a nice subtle touch. I believe SLP made similar badges but for their specific power packages. Manny would be your best hook up for something custom like that. Being that your Vette's yellow a carbon fibre ZR1 front lip spoiler might be a nice touch too(depending in cost).

Good afternoon LSXtasy,

I've thought about a carbon fibre ZR1 splitter (sure hope I'm using the right term here!) but it looks so rigid and you just can't imagine the number of times this summer I heard the stock plastic one bottoming out. Into the parking lot in Peace River when I go to exercise along the dike even though I enter and exit at 45 degree angles, a good number of the roads in Fairview, it is really depressing. But the plastic one has a lot of give to it and the carbon fibre one I could see ending up in tatters after a short time. But I really had a good look at the Dawson Creek autocross at Brian's ZR1 and sure liked the looks of it better.

Well, Manny does read these posts from time to time so maybe he'll have a suggestion badge wise. I thought it would be sublet but still make the point for those who are playing attention.

I had another thought as well. The top end of a stock Z06 is 318 km/hr, a ZR1 is 325, so I'm hoping I'm going to be good for 335 or better. I've considered getting a decal for the back vertical surface of the car which would say "If you can't better 335 km/hr don't waste your time.......". Too blunt?

Cheers,

Garry

Another look at the unloading of Garrys Z06.

Garry I have the dyno video done , just the up-loading today is really slow for some reason . I will post it up as soon as it finishes .

Velocity;
I'm thinking that your top speed will still be limited by your gearing. With your blower you'll get to 318kmh that much quicker, but then level out. Am I correct?
