Peace River N Da House - The arrival of Garry's VY 06 Z06

Few things hotter in life than a car that "growls, snaps and spits" liek that at idle............! I'm sure lesser cars would suddenly start to leak fluids all over the ground in fear if I ever pulled up along side them...........

Whow that sounds beastly..........can't wait til tomorrow to see some results. Thanks again Manny for keeping us all in the loop.

My pleasure guys .

A bit of a frustrating day ,as I know everyone was waiting for some news .

The internet at the shop was just awful , its funny I am always complaining to my wife about how slow the internet is at home compared to the shop

Arun is coming in at 8 am so we can lay down some runs and get tuning :canada:

Oh yeah! -- she purrs like a lion:D

Sounds good Garry, did you notice the exhaust open and closed sections at the end?
You have bimode exhaust like I have -- you'll love it.

Sounds absolutely nasty open........Oh yeah......

Hoping for big numbers tomorrow....

LOL, your weight is going down and your hp is going up.......congrats all round.

C.

IT's ALIVE!!!! WOOOO! Tomorrow is going to be awesome!!!!!

What a dramatic difference with the exhaust open and closed!!!!

Good evening everyone,

So off to bed, some of you are probably already there. Big day tomorrow. Was just able to finally show the video clip to my gf. She said "it sounds like a truck". Oh well, some things are just lost on people. I may end up getting someone else to drive it so i can follow behind it. It sure does sound nice.

Colin, when you say bimode are you referring to the Mild or Wild or some other little trick with the exhaust that Manny did? I had the Mild to Wild before but I sure don't recall the difference from two to four sounding like that at all!!!!!!

If it is not a problem Manny can you get a video clip from the rear once all the tuning etc. is done? I'll bet it is going to something else to hear it at full throttle.

I'm off to have sweet dreams, if there is a God,of this car.

Cheers,

Garry

Hey Garry, LOL, tell the gf that it sure won't feel like a truck when she goes for a ride. :D (besides it'll still have the quiet(er) mode.

I didn't know you had NPP exhaust -- yes the "bimode" is the NPP that you have. A terrific feature for sure, especially when you have a performance exhaust on there.

Yes there is a God, and he's lookin' after all of us including you and Manny.:D

Stayin' logged in all day today.

Cheers,
Colin

just like running dumps in the old days - plays with your opponents head and gives you a psych advantage before you even get down to business. an old proverb - " he who gets holeshot never sees tail eyes " :D not to be confused with " he who gets holeshot has problem sitting down "

Good morning,

Sort of like D-Day, this is the day of days for me.

I told my son that the "Mild to Wild" was the difference between normal and race mode and while it made a difference when he would press the fob button it sure didn't sound like that!

I agree with you buckhorn76, I think there would be an intimadation factor in this. PUlling up beside someone and then hearing the exhaust note change like that, I think I'd be backing away with my tail pipe between my legs!

Cheers,

Garry

Well, if there is a 12 step program for horsepower junkies, I think Garry went from 6 to 24!

Can't wait to see the results! Just to think that it's on the dyno right now is exciting!

Good morning,

I'm going for a walk to (literally) cool my heels! The anticipation is just killing me right now.

But I am really thankful that I get to experience something like this in my life and at my age. I never would have appreciated this experience as a much younger person. Maturity (age) does have its advantages. For me this is a lot more fun to go through now than it would have been 20 years ago. The cars are technologically different and the outcomes that someone like Manny could achieve I would imagine are a lot more easier these days than in the past - much better aftermarket stuff to play with!

I'll be back in 30 to 45 minutes.............

Cheers,

Garry

I just had a quick question Manny,

Since it logistically did not work out to do dyno runs between components, will it be done with Arun pre and post tune?? It would be fun to see what his magic brings to the table for people fence sitting on getting a tune done.............

Cheers,

Garry

Mmmmm. 20 years ago Garry? You would have Manny working on a 1986 Corvette. I could not imagine what it would take to make a 1986 Corvette obtain 850 hp and be able to be driven daily. The car of choice for me for Manny to work on would have been a GNX I think.:D
Go technology!

a 600 shot of nitrous !!!!! :D

Good morning,

Maybe it would have been a case of perspective. I can recall, as I'm sure a lot of members can, when a unmodified 15 second car was excellent and a sub 14 second car was unheard of. Modifying was not a common activity I don't believe and certainly not a whole lot of forced induction let alone computer controls and "tunes"!

But I'll bet the people then had just as much fun from their heavily moded 13 second cars as people do today from their 11 second cars......

A more innocent time perhaps.

Cheers,

Garry

GOOD MORNING KIDS

715.13 RWHP ----WITH THE BELT SLIPPING :D
633.72 RWTQ

THE SOUND THAT EVERYONE ELSE WILL HEAR :

Now we now going to install a flipdrive to get rid of the belt slip . This will allow the the boost to stay constant and build more power :D

Next week we will install the flipdrive and some bigger injectors and do some more tuning and dyno pulls .

Stay tuned :canada:
