Dasilva Motorsports turns beast into a MONSTER

How to turn a beast into a MONSTER . Many of you have been watching the progress on Nik's 07 CTSV and have been witness to just how potent these sedans can be . In this segment we will be building a fully forged blower 402 with Trick Flow heads / Monster clutch along with some new Kooks headers and a few other tricks to squeeze the juice of of this baby.

Here are a pictures and video to start things off :D

So it begins with a litle mood music:

Hood off and ready to get at it .

I almost started giggling in anticipation when I saw the title of the new thread under "new posts". The music in the video topped if off. HA! That was great.

I can't wait to see how it turns out. I bet Cadillac never thought they would see that much power in one of their street cars.

to an italian like... that IS the music!! I can't remember turning on my radio more than 3 times all last year... and I used to be a car audio addict!!!!

Me too, I actually spent some years In IASCA, and was a custom builder for Blaupunkt , Alpine , and Precision Power .

Thing is with the vette I just want to hear the engine.

Well... here's how old I am... LOL I had RODEK (still have a few Rodeks and some other old school ZED Audio stuff) amps then moved to HCCA Orions also... LOL and yet I couldn't agree more with you!!!

My fav setups consisted of PP or Phoenix Gold amps with JL subs and MB Quart front stage all running through Audio Control processors , backed up by converted rayne 24 octive eq's . How's that for sound quality :D

Man those wre fun days

Ok back to the Caddy, I will pull the engine and trans tomorrow night and post up some more pic's ..........ga'night all

Good time to datail the engine bay! And then keep it off the road till summer. The wintery conditions in Ontario make such a mess.Oh and it must suck getting blown away by a Caddy while driving a Vette. LOL

There's going to be a lot of C5's getting took by Caddilacs if they keep making 305 hp V6 models and offering a 565hp upgrade LOL

Actually I was surprised by the pricing for the new CTS-V. $70k without rebates or anything sounds like a pretty good value when you consider the car... or is it just me??? That doesn't even touch the used prices too!!! While the new ZR-1 will remain much higher valued in comparison, I couldn't see why I couldn't convince "management" that a 55k dollar 1 year old CTS-V isn't a great buy and value!!! (plus stock it'll probably out run a heads/cam c5!!!)

So, it appears that you are making more room for the amplifiers and Kicker subs.:D
I would have to make it into a rear engine if that was the case
