Dealership charged me for front plate install?!

Some of these dealers think that if you are rich enough to own a Vette, that you won't care (or notice) if they creep an extra charge into your invoice. Deceitful BS from a supposed prominent dealership is just plain disgusting, and dumping the dealer to buy from another source is the best punishment. Screwing over a customer invariably creates an important trust issue, which reflect in the total loss of future sales to said customer. How stupid can that be for them! We're talking thousands of lost dollars here!

Wow... some real attention to detail by the guy who installed your wheel...

Quick fix though. It has to be pulled and rotated 1 spline to the left.

I like the new steering. OEM product?

Gee whiz .... Wonder if the tech had an aligning position/mark setup before removal of the stock wheel that could just be matched on the install. Could it be that simple or does the wheel keep spinning as one torcs it ??? I have this on my boat of all things .... I have to describe rotation in terms that can be understood.
How does one say it ? ...
A) rotate it 5 minutes counter clockwise
B) rotate it 55 minutes clockwise
C) rotate 30 degrees left (or port)
.... I’ll be on attempt number 3 if the boat launch does not have “joy” with a straight wheel this year.

So the steering wheel annoyance is completely understood .... the trick is to stop the money tap from flowing in the process ...

Question: I was thinking of removing the word : "corvette" from the rear. I am a minimalist and do not like a lot of badging on my cars; besides, you know it is a corvette - the crossed flags. What do you say CCF members.

I like the idea and agree. My letters are black against my black car so very subtle. Changed to the crossed flags emblem to carbon fibre as well so no colour back there.

At the dealer now.
They don't know if they can adjust the alignment.
So they won't be touching it.
I'm carrying on with the oil change.
Should be done soon.
I think I'll try race ready.
They don’t know if they can adjust it

Ask them to put in writing that it is normal
Ask them how far each spline moves the wheel in writing

In frick inn bee leave able

Axe doesn’t have the steering problem it was me. I’m going to the dealership this Saturday. The service manager told me first that they’ll try and correct it by doing an alignment. I told them NO way you’re touching the alignment because it was fine before the install and if you adjust the tie rod to compensate for the pull, one end will be longer than the other. So, he agreed to take the wheel off realign and reinstall.

I will update on Saturday.

Axe let me know how it goes with race ready. I’m planning on taking my car there to lower it and install my xpipe.

Well I'm home.
My head hurts.
My car was done, out front waiting.
Paper work baffled them. That wasted 45 minutes.
They billed me $167.47 for my FREE oil change.
I was told dexos is free. Mobil 1 is an upgrade!
After explaining to the advisor that the warranty is void, sans mobil 1, and part of the reason we pay a hundred grand she checked with the service mgr. Ok, we need to change the paperwork.
It cost me nothing.
The alignment specialist was off sick today.
He's supposed to call me tomorrow re the street setup I desire.
Ohhhh my head!

There is a GM Canada bulletin that all dry sump Corvettes are to have Mobil 1 oil renews with the inclusive program ... that dealership would have that bulletin ... and not shovel the bull ... the most annoying thing next to c7 ZR1 availability shenanigans. I have one inclusive renew and then I pay the bill ...
this is what I told these “extra fee” dealerships - I will not return and go to more reputable dealerships who know about the program.

@AxeZ06 - I PM'd you two documents that I have in my files that I received from my dealership shop manager who
#1 - states Mobil 1 for Dry Sumps and #2 - 5 oil changes are in the 2yr program for Dry Sumps (non-dry sump gets 4)
