Corvette Winter Storage Thread....

steve with the new testing equipment using the o.b.d. here in ontario disconnecting the battery causes big time grief. when it was strictly the tailpipe whiffer, no big deal. it has turned into quite a hornets nest here.
I understand ,and thanks for bring it up :D .

yes but keep in mind if you have an e test pending disconnecting the battery wipes the memory for the o.b.d. and apparently needs time to make a new record - automatic fail.

I've never used fogging oil in my cars. I change the oil and filter, fill the tank full of gas with stabilizer then go for about a 10 mile run to get everything up to full temperature, park the car, hook up the charger and it sits until spring. I use lots of Bounce dryer sheets as they seem to keep the mice out of our cottage and the cars. Mothballs certainly don't work and they stink. Trust me on that one. Never had a problem yet. Fogging is probably a good idea as long as it doesn't hurt the catalytic converters.

I prefer starting mine every 3 to 4 weeks --- That keeps everything well lubed.

If you do this be sure to let it run long enough to dry out the exhaust system.

I knew this day was coming...... rain later today (now) and tomorrow then a few flakes of snow, that will bring the salters out so....it's goodbye for another season. Enjoyed my Corvette time greatly this year, :driving: THANKS to all the people that make it special. :seeya:

Looks Good Wayne. Won't be long b4 we'll be cruizin' again.

Besides the tidy garage I like the Ctek mounted on the wall.
