Guide C8 TPW Confirmation List

GM choices for rims are a bit lame IMO for such a nice car and with the money they are charging i think i will purchase aftermarket which will give much more options. I do have a set of AR chrome rims on a convertible i have and i can tell you that i get complements on them all the time. They are Casino rim type which would look awesome in black on the c8

Just received TPW for three more customers.

Week of April 6th for two and April 20th for a third.
I don't know. It could be the 15th, 22nd, or 29th. We might not get any at all for February.
Fingers crossed over here I get picked up on one of those days as well! COME ON GM....DADDY NEEDS A NEW C8!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It sure is a roller coaster ride. I was told at first I had a 50% chance of getting on. Then they called me up and said I could order one in early December. Then they said there was a constraint and I could only order black or silver, color constraint that really wasn’t a constraint. I didn’t want that so they said they would continue on the list and offer to next in line and that my next chance might be in March. In January they call and said your order is going in. This week a get confirmation of TPW. It’s crazy and I’ll only be really happy when I see the car.

That's insane!!!! I know the strike has lots to do with this crazyness, and that those things can not be controlled...but ya I guess they can if good negotiations are in place blah blah blah....hey we don't run the company It would just be so much a better feeling as a customer if we were updated and kept in any kind of loop. As the great salespeople from GM that are on here have said they don't even know till the last minute and that is unfair to them as well to explain this to their customers. As a first time buyer of a high end car after dealing with other car companies (myself Infinity and Volvo) puts a bad taste in your mouth currently as opposed to how I have been treated as a customer in the past. JMO and I know the Dealerships and the sales people have been wonderful and informative and can only give the information they have at their disposal when it becomes factual. I just wish GM would have been able to give them more lead time information that would make their job easier and more seamless.

This is my first time ordering a brand new car. Even though it has been pretty crazy I feel the salesperson I have been dealing with appears to be honest and providing me with as much information as he has. as I said I’m just happy I have a TPW and the chance to get the car this year.
