I read this on GM Authority comment. Not the greatest news for 2020 C8`s

`GM said that they would produce 20,181 2020 C8’s before they would start the 2021 model. Now they think that they will achieve this goal by November 16th.

As of September 8, 2020 they have to produce 10,762 cars. I don’t know how they will be able to produce this many cars in the 49 production days between 9/8 and 11/16. That’s 220 cars a production day, an impossible number to achieve.

Why would GM put out a 2021 production date they they cannot achieve unless the promised un-built 2020’s will be built as 2021’s. Only time will tell the end to this story.`

From what I have been reading the un-builts will be put onto the allotments for dealers for 2021 and that that allotment number will count towards the 2021 allotments so if dealer A gets an allotment of 10, and they get 7 built, the 3 remaining get taken away from their 2021 allotment.

So then the 3 from 2020 are # 1-2-3 of 2021 and then #8-9-10 for 2021 then get bumped to a 2022.

I am sure if sales guys are around on this thread they could clarify. I found this info on one of the YouTube Vlogs from a US Vette Salesperson.

Cheers,

Kevin

time to spin the `when will I get mine` wheel. Only one spin every 2-3 weeks. spin wheel.jpg

It will come. I was at 3300 for two weeks I believe before I went 3400. Then it was BAM.. got built. Then it sat in BG for two and a half weeks before it shipped out.
Mine is built, waiting for shipping. Dealer advised they will receive September 20.
