I am all ready loaded and heading to the Castrol Raceway for Davenport, AFR, and Accelerated Automotive track day. Can’t wait . Be some cool cars there, and hope to get a good time slip out of the C4

11.40 @ 125 mph I am happy with that and no break downs !! I know there there more in the car, hope to make it at least one more time. Loving the new trailer, takes all the worrying out of getting home.....

guess what I’m doing this winter.... Rings didn’t touch this time, now I’m melting pistons. Got to be something going on!! Maybe leaning out on the top end of the track... I don’t know

So I tried to hone out the #7 cylinder and it is to far gone for that. Drag last years 5.3L out of the corner, it cleans up nice ! going to throw the rotating assembly with the Gen 4 rods and pistons in that one . Also have a $30 used piston on its way off eBay. Should be able to have this project back together in a cheap budget!!!!

Awesome work with the C4! Too bad it's not staying together for you, however, I bet you are pretty quick with tearing it down and putting it back together! Looking forward to seeing it back up and running!

just picked this up!! LS1 bored to 5.9 L. Mahle pistons, balanced crankshaft, all the bearings to assemble, ARP hardware, etc. Wasn’t looking for it, but I know a good deal when I see one for $600. Not sure if I will drop it in the C4 yet because the 5.3L is almost rebuilt again.

There a kit available now !!! where was this a few years ago when I was struggling on my swap!!! . It looks a bit pricey, but still very cool , I am interested in the T56 & TR 6060 brackets/adapters
Can’t wait to see more Ls swap C4’s

Rebuilt 5.3L, pieced together from 2 blown 5.3L and a used eBay piston

When I did the rebuild the balancer bolt was loose and could see that I been spinning the balancer on the crankshaft, so I decided to pin the crankshaft to prevent it from happening again

Back in goes the motor!! Transmission mounted, but having trouble getting the C-Beam bolted back in. I have a new “used” one coming from Western Corvette because I think I bent/twisted the current one I have and the bolts don’t line up anymore...... odd problem to have!!! But I will be the first to say I am hard on this car

Great progress Dalen! You should be hearing it soon enough! Good fore thinking on the balancer.
