What are the signs for side yokes replacements

Thanks for your reply and your compliment nascar03. I wasn't sure if anyone was still looking at this thread.. lol The differential was rebuild and powercoated and I still have lots to do on the car before It's get bolted back up.. I will post more pictures of where I am at. I wanted to let you how I much I hate removing some undercoating.. it's very messy and my gf hates it when it do since it ends up on my clothes..

A multi crafter tool and a heat gun is a very important to have when trying to remove this stuff.
If the undercoating is very tick I use the multi-crafter or the heatgun. If the undercoating has a think coating then I use paint thinner. The key is to scrub and scrub until it's gone. I have a pail of water with multi purpose cleaner next to me which I use a clean rag to clean the used black thinner.
I love having a clean car and it's not fun to work on your car and your hands and up to your elbows are covered with undercoating. Some people might agree that it protects from rusting but how do you know that there might be rust underneath it. So people might spray this stuff to hide rust so they can sell their cars. Anyways I will remove all the undercoating on my car and protect it from rust another way.

I wouldn't worry about no-one reading your posts. I read every post and look at all the pics when I get a chance. I can honestly say I am impressed by how much work some are able people do to their cars. Something that is way, way beyond my abilities especially when you consider that when I think of C3, I always follow it with PO.

hahaha....12cents, I have to admit. It took me 4 seconds before I caught that....

Yes I do,. I bought it at Corvette Central. I also bought many C3 Corvette restoration books too.

The thing I am looking for is a manual about the type of screws were used in the corvette and the torque specs.

The assembly manual doesn't say this type of info

Hi all

I just re installed the rebuilt differential with the new HD yokes and is it normal for the yokes to be that close to the rear compartment?
