Speaks for itself....

My unhappiness with not driving my Corvette while being away from my home in Calgary for 11 days now was quickly changed to gratefulness that I was not enjoying my Corvette on Deerfoot Trail yesterday ... 2 inches of rain in less than an hour in YYC I believe. I did get the same storm just South of YEG about 6 hours later but not nearly as bad.

"Every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right.”- '1984,' George Orwell

Which is even more disturbing when the Party that is always right is also Left.... :(

Tis indeed a sad state of affairs we are in the midst of. Common sense and rational thinking has gone by the wayside. Reactive pandering for the few does nothing and increases the dissatisfaction of the many.....

Hopefully that becomes a famous quote someday....

Took the C7 for a ride yesterday along with my Daughter with my Wife in her C7.
Met up with a larger number of Corvette Owners for a Doughnut and great conversation.
What an awesome family day we had.
Damn, today I have bugs to wash off ... while washing ...
A young family came by, Mom, Dad with son and daughter.
Young man pointed at my Corvette so I quickly invited him to sit in it and helped him
start it up. His eyes lit light wild fire. Then showed him how to turn it off.
Rewarded his success with a Hot Wheels C7 and gave a C3 Hot Wheels to his Sister.
Right away one was saying hers was faster than his.
Chatting with Mom & Dad, the young girl has down syndrome, the young man has
one lung.
All of the sudden ... the bugs on my Corvette did not matter.

Best story I've read all year. Thank you!
