Still No Canadian Prices for 2021

lf you are worried about a couple more grand on a car that you could sell for 20%more than you paid for it maybe you should take up something less stress full like bingo . And l never endorse being a person who would lower myself to such tactics .

Canadian market 7.5% of 2020 sales with lucrative overseas international sales already planned for 2021 MY = WE ARE IRRELEVANT
I doubt that, if we were irrelevant, why are some of the first weeks production of 2021 C8s being built for Canada. In a normal year GM sells around $150 M to $170 M of Corvettes in Canada. That’s not chump change, even for GM.

Interesting reading with all the different points of view and theories on what the pricing/timing should be and it all makes sense.
I sent a note off to GM Canada yesterday (not that it will make any difference) to ask a few basic questions focusing on customer service and customer relationship , given we are purchasing a product that they are offering, at a premium(list price) and in good faith, averaging around $100k (all in) without the following:
1. Dealer support on pricing , as the dealers cannot assist because you have not provided them the pricing information to assist us in making the best decisions on vehicle configurations for our orders.
2. Canadian build and price website with 2021 configuration pricing , including any new options for the 2021 model year. Why has a U.S. web site been up and running for over a month and not ours. You continue to view Corvette owners as passionate and loyal and I know we are only 7% of your production run so why do we all feel like we are treated as second rate to other markets.
I reminded them that some buyers will have their vehicle built in a few days and not know how much it will cost them or if they have missed out on some new options that they may have wanted .
3. In the absence of effective, timely communication, the image you project to your clients reflects a disregard for their needs while making an important decision for us to do business with GM. It may create friction between client dealer as we know both are somewhat frustrated with the lack of info.
4. I reminded them that having a runaway hit on this car will only last for so long and you may need to call on some of the loyal Corvette society to purchase surplus inventory in the future and these will be some of the same individuals who have purchased a Corvette today.
Do not expect anything, but I feel better :)

I have contacted GM Canada a couple of times as well about pricing and options for 2021 models but just get the run around. Lots of promises but no action. Doesn’t make any sense to me except that they may want 2020s sold and delivered before releasing pricing for 2021 models.

I echo the pricing concern as I configured my car expecting that option items would see a min 3-5% increase. It resulted in me spec'ing the car with less...had I known the increases perhaps I may have stretched my budget. However, I don't have a bottomless bank account so stuck with affordability.

It would make sense that as of December 8, GM Canada would release pricing for 2021 because that's the date they are rumored to begin 2021 production........

But again, pure speculation....... We've been waiting this long..........what's another few months......

December 14th is the date for 2021's to start coming off the line. They could enter the line on the 10th, but if there are more days like Wednesday then that date could get pushed. Current TPW's are the 14th and 21st.

Good to know! Thank you..............we wait.............

There is a couple of us on this site getting cars built the first week of production.

Take my money! I don`t care about the price ! Take my money!
Reminds of the time I went to cdn tire when a cold snap hit looking for a battery. There was a big crowd at the counter and ripping the batteries off the wall to get one.
Time to do the same at GM ?

I bet lots of Canadian dealers have asked GM to hold the 2021 prices until they sell all the
MSRP + 20k over 2020's they have...lol.... Had another dealer text me a few days ago.. A white 2020 2LT on the floor... 21 and change K over MSRP
I don't think so. They did the exact same with the 2020s.
