Took in the weekly Red Deer Show and Shine last week.... Just getting to posting a couple pics now.....lol.... Was a bit of a light Thursday with only about 250 cars....Never fails to amaze me the regular three hundred plus car turnout they have on every good weather Thursday...

I had two Volkswagen Beetles Murray. A 1958 that my Dad bought me to bomb around in my Grandfathers fields when I was about 10 yrs old and then a 1972 I bought myself when I started High school... Great cars and a lot of fun... The 72 would run high 16's in the 1/4..lol... I know....Not that fast but it pissed my buddy off to no end. He had a 74 SS (145 HP) Nova that wouldn't break 17 seconds.... Not a good year for GM Horsepower....

I agree. Head on down to the beach with that puppy. I really like the 70 Chevelle above the VW as well as the yellow Nova. Great pics Eric.

Thx... The Lotus sure caught my eye too. First time I've seen it there. Wish the owner had been standing there to chat to. Would have liked to looked at the engine as well. Surprised @Nik hasn't chimed in here yet... Methinks he was a Lotus driver back a bit....

Thanks! Was my mom's 1966 230SL that I inherited over the winter.

This summer added a Pertronix Ignitor, rebuilt the front end, new calipers and tires. Now waiting on a fuel injection flow regulator and that will be it for this years budget. Next year rebuild the rear end.

That'll be a fun little ride once you get her going. That's a beautiful example,really is.You can post pics of that next summer on the road !! I'll be looking forward to hearing about that,if you so choose "random pic" of that car again.
