Random Pictures You Took

Thanks for the comments Eric, X and Mike. We had an industrial ground fault detector that all the A/C plugged into but you are right X it may have not been one of our brightest moments!:bag:

Sultans of String would not play on the dock but the lead guy was just nervous of water. Maybe electricity as well.:(

This was taken at Hassett Lake about 120km north of Flin Flon, Manitoba. My buddy and I were up there on a fishing trip for a week last June and this is the sunset view off the deck of the cabin... a great place.... no people...no roads.... total peace and quiet and more fish than you could think possible.....

91 and Eric, simply beautiful shots. Love the reflections, special indeed.

Wilderness. Eric it must be an odd feeling to see the plane depart knowing you are on your own.

Why do I think there is no convenience store just down the lake.:D

More great pictures.

You would be right Murray.... No store.... The lake is totally ours.... The outfitter has one cabin on each of 9 lakes scattered over about 200 km and you are alone. We have a satellite phone and what ever else we bring in with us.We have been doing this each year for the last 25 or so and seldom forget anything anymore..... And if we do.... well.... too bad..... lol...

...Back in 2002 here on the farm it was a year of drought. This is how the spring started and looked for weeks, no sun just blowing dust day and night. My dad told me of how it was in the 30's and this is something like that. I don't know where the rest of my pics are but after all was done I had drifts of blow dirt 2 to 3 feet all over the yard just like snow drifts in the winter and the tractor was partially buried later. I got over a hundred vehicles out back and many were up to the tail lights buried in dirt. The W30 tractor my grandfather bought new in 1940. I said this pic would make a nice shot for a callender. We never seeded a crop that year.

That is a great picture.... and story....I agree.... it would make a great Calendar...You should have that framed on your wall... it's a beauty that also tells a story....

Don't have a barn full of old tractor or farm pieces you are trying to clean up by chance?.... I collect (ok...Brenda says I hoard).... and make stuff out of tractor seats, grills, horse stuff, etc.... lol...... always looking for neat old things to preserve in some way...

With all the news of the Panama Papers I had to come clean with my wife about the $1.25 I have in Canadian Tire paper money in Panama. I thought I would share my trip there to deposit the stash.

Miss Supertest 111 owned by petroleum entrepreneur Mr. Jim Thompson of London, Ontario. Driven by Bob Hayward, a drag racer from South Western Ontario the team won the top honours for Unlimited Hydroplane racing, the Harmsworth Trophy in 1959 (Detroit) and 1960 (Picton). The 31 foot long Miss Supertest 111 was powered by a Roll Royce Griffin V 12 engine. Hayward lost his life in the older Miss Supertest 11 on the Detroit River in September of 1960. Thompson quit racing after that accident that claimed his drivers life.

This beauty could make incredible noise.
