The Pikes Peak Impala is a interesting one. The Texas 59 plated 58 Nomad wagon looks like is being filled with premium. Wonder why he put that load on the roof rack instead of the inside, doesn't look too strapped down ? Man that is a new car. Like the Coke machine too.

....Well I don't see a newer car in the pic so I bet that smiling proud owner just bought the new 58 Impala. Nice color, but it is a 6 cyl car . It needs a V8 under the hood and a set of Cragar SS wheels.

The custom green job has some side trim removed or changed , handles are gone, the rear rounded fins have the corners sharpened , looks like 61 Pontiac tail lights , Dodge Lancer hubcaps, changed steering wheel, lake pipes , custom tail pipes behind the tires , shaved trunk lid , one piece bumpers and dummy spot lights......that is one old custom.

That is one awesome Old Chev Dealership. I love the signs. Must be 1958 as I don't see a newer car in the pic. And that black on black Impala convertible just might be the car I own today as mine was originally all black and a usa car.

Great pics of the era.

Some real nice pics again. The sea foam green Impala coupe puzzles me. It appears a new car not modified, yet the dark green strip between the side moldings should be a ribbed aluminum strip not green paint. And also it looks like chrome headliner bars running lengthwise , 58's had no headliner bars and I don't see it being a reflection of something, weird ?
