Look at the bright side, your in Alberta instead of Ontario and BC where we have to pay the extra tax compared to you. You probably save the 12K in taxes.

Just curious. Are these new Stingray base prices all for 1LT models?
If yes, I'm only seeing an $8770 increase over last year's Stingray Coupe/HTC Build and Price 1LT base prices.
Chevrolet.ca still has the Build and Price for 2023 Corvette models on their website, I believe.
The 1LT Coupe base price was $78,929 and the 1LT HTC was $87,929.
I'm probably missing something here (story of my life).
It's still a lot more than the $2500 I was told by my salesman, but it's a bit less offensive.

Mike, the base price at the start of 2023 on a 1LT coupe was $75,805 before freight and air tax. Now it's $87,699. Difference is $11,896.
Your 2LT HTC was $94,803 now it's $106,699. Same difference.

So, the website Chevrolet.ca Build and Price numbers for a Coupe/HTC 1LT that are on their website today, have been increased since the start of 2023?
I just did 2 B&P for both a Coupe and an HTC, and the numbers I quoted are the base prices as of today for a 2023 model.
That seems a bit odd to me.
BTW, the 2020 HTC Z51 LT3 at Cullen in St. Catharines has no Z51 Suspension/MSRC, or Front Lift. I'd like the former, and need the latter.
Without them, it's priced OK, but not for me.

There was a $1200 price increase October 25, 2022 according to my notes for the mandatory 3 year Onstar package that was now included on each GM vehicle.
Without being mandatory the platform was failing and would have collapsed in my opinion. GM website builds include, Freight, air tax and a $699 dealer fee.
I do the math to come up with the actual base price of the car and compare year to year pricing on that basis.
I was called to spec my stingray today and just found out the new price. Now I'm debating if I still want one after waiting for almost 2 years... Maybe I'll 'upgrade' to the German rivalry instead. Ironically, C8 was meant to get the European market lol

Damnn this is crazy... 12k price increase in bonkers! But it makes sense when you factor in the exchange, those of us that got the 2023 (at least when I bought), I calculated was only at 1.24 exchange instead of 1.35. Those waiting on the side lines should go buy themselves a used 2023 if they can find a decent deal. Because trust me despite what some may say, the Automatic frunk isn't worth $12k + additional luxury tax. I was in position to spec out a 2024 C8 but now I will likely drop my position. The reason was the 2023 C8 HTC 2LT I have, I did not get to spec anything out on it. Unless some dealers willing to give me enough on the 2023 to make it worthwhile upgrading to a 2024.
I put my order in for a 2LT coupe. Unfortunately, the price bump knocks me into the luxury tax which adds another $10,000 on top of the price increase. So a 2024 will cost me over $22,000 more than a 2023.

Yes, I missed that, I'm probably looking at $109K so 20% on the $9K would be $1800 - so about $14K more for the 2024 over the 2023
Look at the bright side, GM was not shipping many C8s to Canada because the profit margin was too slim compared to just selling them in the US. Now that they are making a comparable profit, Canada's allotment should increase dramatically for MY24.
That being said, I am glad I got my 23 when I did. I had a hard time justifying the 23 prices based on how little I drive it, and based on 24 pricing I probably would have just passed on the car altogether and bought a new Mustang GT Conv or something comparable.

I don't think that used prices will change too much because the used Corvette prices are influenced more by the US used Corvette market than anything else and that market is slowing down. There may be some short term market confusion in Canada so the prices will be all over the place but soon the market will stabilize and the values will be within a few thousand dollars to US values but there are always exceptions. It is late in the season for Vette sales so stabilization may not happen till the Spring. I have seen the new car values at the 35% Can/US exchange difference before but this time they did a bigger/faster catch up on the rate difference than usual.
I paid 15k over msrp for my 70th anniversary edition and was a little miffed. Now, I am not as miffed. I think the price increase was coming but this is a large adjustment. I am sorry for the 2024 buyers.

Since I was never in the race at your/their initial 2023 numbers, it's still only $8770 difference to me.
