Official Canadian Pricing-it's out!

Since I was never in the race at your/their initial 2023 numbers, it's still only $8770 difference to me.
Can't dwell on the past, as "they" say?
Sure, soften the blow but dealers and the rest of us compare year over year launch date pricing and usually there is another price increase in January. For 2023 the price increase due to Onstar came at the end of October. I am hoping there won't be any more price increases for the next 3 years.

These were the original prices at the start of the 2023 production run?
Sneaky bastards bumping them, mid-stream.
Now again at model roll over.
SInce I wasn't in the game back then, as I said, it's still only $8770 to me.
Nasty, but maybe do-able...

Very disappointing for folks who have had deposits for 2-3 years and get whacked with this increase. Anyone have a contact at GM Canada we can express our dissatisfaction with??
We're Canadian, and we're so "nice", and we never complain about anything, no matter how egregious the offense.
That's how we're defined to the rest of the world, for the most part, and GM corporate are well aware of that little national character trait.
Since it's not going to change anything, unless we hired Antifa and Corvette Prices Matter, to picket the city of Oshawa, I'm not sure it's worth the effort.

I paid 15k over msrp for my 70th anniversary edition and was a little miffed. Now, I am not as miffed. I think the price increase was coming but this is a large adjustment. I am sorry for the 2024 buyers.

On a side note, I have heard that the stingray will get a significant bump in power for 24. Maybe that's why....
Where did you hear about power bump?

Marissa West is appointed GM Canada President and Managing Director, effective April 2022, reporting to Steve Carlisle, Executive Vice President and President, North America.
I believe GM Canada is being told what to charge from Corporate and that would probably be the response.

Can't seem to find her email address. Anyone know the format for GM Canada email addresses? Looks like first name.last name @gm.com for the US.

You're the first person I've heard of paying over MSRP for a new C8 in Ontario, unless it was used

Jesus Christ! I'm lucky I just took delivery of my 2023 but unlucky that this will now take me out of the Z06/Eray market.

Looks like my Corvette ownership dreams will end just as quick as they began. My first ever Corvette was my 2020 Coupe which as a hard working "blue collar" guy I could afford at $80,000.

My 2023 Convertible was only possible because of the crazy trade in value I got on the Coupe $95,000 and MSRP on the HTC was $109,000. A small jump!

My plan was to get a 1LZ Z06 Coupe as my next Corvette thinking they would be around $125,000 Canadian. Boy was I wrong!!!

My 2023 will most likely be my last new Corvette.

Yeah its pretty disheartening, a zero optioned 1lz is now 178k out the door with all taxes. Brutal.

Yes, I missed that, I'm probably looking at $109K so 20% on the $9K would be $1800 - so about $14K more for the 2024 over the 2023
Yeah, this is what the luxury tax calculation says:

The luxury tax on the sale, importation, registration or lease of a subject vehicle priced or valued above the price threshold, or on subject vehicles valued above the price threshold held by a person ceasing to be a registered vendor of subject vehicles is calculated as the lesser of:
  1. the taxable amount multiplied by 10%
  2. the amount that results from subtracting $100,000 from the taxable amount and multiplying the difference by 20%
I initially flipped out on the luxury tax, which still sucks, but once I read up on it, it wasn't as bad as some stated.

Gilles, I think I deleted duplicate responses earlier. What I was saying is that in this case the selling dealer sold the car to a competitor being a Toyota dealership for 5K over MSRP. Then the Toyota dealership put the car up for sale for 15K over MSRP. The selling dealer also kept the $1500 70th anniversary luggage that was on the window sticker saying they never received it. It was later on in the production cycle that they ran out of luggage.
