So after serious contemplation, and giving into temptation, I have decided to go all-motor. Yes, that means I'm getting a cam. Which one? I haven't narrowed it down yet. Arun has been very patient and a big help(sorry for all the PM's). I'm stuck between what I know which is a Comp Cams 224/230 114LSA(Arun installed in my 01 Camaro SS), or as per Arun's recommendation a 226/230 or a 230/234. Since I've been in the States, I've taken advantage of the pricing and free shipping so here's my parts list, in hand;
Trick Flow pushrods
Melling Ported oil pump(18% increase)
CompCams double row timing chain
CompCams Trunion upgrade
Trickflow Valvespring kit.
Very excited.:coolgleam:
Nice , so when its coming in
Sounds like a great choice . You will love your cammed car!!! I had a VRX5 cam in mine and liked it a lot which wasn't a whole lot more cam than you are going with but I wouldn't argue that it wasn't a high(er) revving cam that would have liked a 7k RPM redline instead of 6500. I think with changes in lobe profile and technology/expertise you're dealing with that there isn't good reason to think you wouldn't have as good or better "nunbers" with better street manners.
Stout numbers for all motor for sure -- Can't wait to hear details and see it again.
C.
I'm back from Costa Rica, and I can't wait to pick up my baby from Dasilva Motorsports. Manny says she's pretty lumpy sounding. I'm dying to know the HP numbers.

Can you post a video of a cold start, idle, and some revs? Haven't heard too many cammed vettes out there. I am sort of interested........lol.
BTW - where is it you're going next week? Italy or Spain?
That sucks Garry, and seems to be somewhat of a Murphy's Law deal. For sure, as Colin stated, check your tire pressure.
Now for the good stuff....I went from 364rwhp and 368rwtq to 416rwhp and 372rwtq!!! So happy, and it drives awesome! But I have to admit that it's the "chug" at idle that has me all giddy. Love it! Great job by Manny, Arun, and the rest of his crew! :thumbup:
Sorry, no vids as of yet.
