LSXtacy getting FAST.....ER

I forgot to post up your dyno graphs buddy. We didn't have a dyno of your car before the mods but I did have a dyno run of a stock 01 Z06 385HP.

So I put them up side by side for a comparison to see the increase.

This car is just begging for a cam. :D

Sick! Thanks Arun. The new Drive Clean program has me kind of wigged out. I'm not sure what kind of cam I would want. I'm thinking of one that would be high revving. Still streetable but good for road course/ open track days. I also have a small front main seal leak so while in there I would do a crank pulley as well. Obviously I would go off your recommendations based on my mods and your experience.

Good morning LSXtasy,

You are going to have a load of fun some springtime!

I wonder if the groundhogs will be favorable to those of us wanting to see the snow leave as early as possible?

It's so much fun to watch all the builds taking place this winter and all the excitement that it is creating. We're lucky owners to have these cars and lucky to have Dasilva to help us enjoy them further.

Cheers,

Garry

Yeah, I can't wait. I have watched Manny's video of my car I don't know how many times just to hear its new sound. Sad, I know.:screwy: it's been really cool stopping by the shop and not only seeing what my car has gone through but seeing the progress on others, or even the new arrivals which just seem to keep showing up. It's a real testament to Manny, his staff, and the pride that they take in their work.

You are going to smile, and smile with the new LG Headers. After Manny finished mine and I got the car home, my wife said that the neighbors were not going to be happy. That made me smile even more!!

You will love the sound and extra power!

LOL! That's always the wives concerns. Leeann hated the sound of my Camaro SS because it was too noisy and atracted too much attention.
Based on what I've heard from the Vette is more civilized then my old Camaro but way more snarly then it was before. Thanks for the encouragement Paul. I appreciate it, but Leeann would say that you're a bad influence.:D

First order of business when you get you car home is a burnout on the street. After that, anything you do will look tame and the neighbors won't bother you.:D

I'd love to do that seeing as I have Beemer owners on either side of me, but the down side would be the local Cop that lives directly across the street :agree:

Maybe I'll give it a shot and see how it goes ! :D

Not so bad -- tho they can bark nicely if you want them to.
If anyone complains just show 'em how loud they could be.:D

Justin, you'll love 'em and so will Leeann -- with an astute right foot they're quite civilized -- no worries.

Come on spring!

I've left a little rubber with the Chevelle on the road at my old home, work, and parents place.:D

I just moved into the new place late last summer so it hasn't been christened yet.

Good afternoon Riley,

Good grief Riley together with your wife's car you ought to be leaving his'n'hers blackies!

Start a new trend by establishing a new couples activity to share.

Cheers,

Garry

Arun. That dyno run of 385 must have been a factory freak. Mine did 322 and they were only rated for 385 flywheel. Was it really a stock 01 z06?

HA! His'n'Her's blackies. We'll have to strap her old tires on to do that. Thankfully tires for the Chevelle are super cheap compared to the new stuff so I can make noise guilt free!

I never noticed that HLN. Were the 01 Z06's stronger than what GM stated? Or maybe it was a late 01 where they upgraded them to the 405 hp motor without saying anything?

Yes it was stock, my 02 actually dyno'd 367 stock and with a Breathless Performance Vortex cold air it dyno'd 376.

I ran 11.65@118 with it in that way-I think its stll a CDN record.

So after serious contemplation, and giving into temptation, I have decided to go all-motor. Yes, that means I'm getting a cam. Which one? I haven't narrowed it down yet. Arun has been very patient and a big help(sorry for all the PM's). I'm stuck between what I know which is a Comp Cams 224/230 114LSA(Arun installed in my 01 Camaro SS), or as per Arun's recommendation a 226/230 or a 230/234. Since I've been in the States, I've taken advantage of the pricing and free shipping so here's my parts list, in hand;
Trick Flow pushrods
Melling Ported oil pump(18% increase)
CompCams double row timing chain
CompCams Trunion upgrade
Trickflow Valvespring kit.
Very excited.:coolgleam:
