See you on Saturday

I called O'Shea's Eatery and Ale house and he will set aside room for 25-30 people for those who want to eat there. Boston Pizza is in the same lot. Many other eateries in the area to pick from as well. This is an 8 min walk from the hotel. Feel free to choose.
Cheers
Dennis

For you "Burger guys". You might want to check out Bernie and the boys bistro. Home of the mammoth burger. Me a buddy put away one of these about 5 years ago.

Now that is a burger. An all day event.

Will keep that place in mind for the Winter GMC Sierra Drumheller Cruise as I would need the more-roomy Drivers' Seat after Lunch ;)

Edmonton peeps.
Just a reminder of this Saturday September 16th. Meeting place.
Edmonton People cruising to Red Deer for Drumheller Cruise.
We are gonna meet at McDonalds in Nisku. 301 20 Ave, Nisku, AB T9E 7Z8 ( same place as we did for the Lake Louise Cruise)
LEAVE at 7:00am Sharp.
Then cruise down to Red Deer and meet at
Peters drive in. 131 Leva Ave, Red Deer County, AB T4E 1B2

Randy(PEP) has brought up a concern about the cruise this Saturday. The temperature for Saturday is supposed to be +15(high) 0(low). Does anyone have any safety concerns about this? Sunrise is at 7:06am. We are leaving at 7am sharp for Red Deer. Should we leave a bit later, 1/2hr or an hour to warm up a bit. Is this a safety concern? OR do we just keep it at 7am leave time. Keep in mind that it'll start warming up quickly.
I've experienced driving at -4( on Michilens super sport run flats) and had no issues myself. I was just cruising at posted speed limit, not driving aggressively and everything went well.
Please post your thoughts.
My thoughts is to keep the same leave time of 7am. But if the majority wants to change to a later time. I'm good with that.
Thanks Ken

I had MPSS on my Camaro and drove it to work for 2 years, as I did the vette this year, during the non winter months when the weather is good. I set my own personal lower limit of +3 to +5C to take the car to work. Anything less and it was a deer on ice and I certainly was not pushing it aggressively. I saw very little tire pressure growth when the temp was below +3C especially when it was still dark out. Once the sun gets up a bit the pavement warms some and then the pressures come up. Last fall a couple friends of ours that have Camaros and I went to Drumheller on a last September trip. We planned our start mid morning just for that reason. When I saw the original start time planned I was kind of wondering but that far in advance who knows what the temps will be like. Last week they would have been easily over +8c. My 5 cent opinion.

The low is always around 4 am...

When I brought my ZR1 back from the USA in late April I seen 31/32F and wet snow........ I was driving in it.... snow wasn't accumulating. I did stop after 10-15 min in blizzard conditions and stayed in Lethbridge

You guys should be fine....... you are driving a straight road... not a curvy road.

In March I completed the Ron Fellows driving school course and one question that come up in every class room is " at what temperature should you not drive on MPSS tires.
Michelin states at "40f the tires will loose their ability to function as a high speed rated tire". When we brought this up, they said the tires need time to warm up before being driven aggressively. They also mentioned that above 0c or 32f is acceptable as long as you give the tire time to warm up.
I will try to contact them tomorrow to confirm this.
