I was wondering if car covers are typically machine washable. I can’t find a tag on mine to indicate this, but I assume they are. I wanted to make sure by checking with you fine folks.
Thanks.

Good to know about the bounce sheets.I machine wash and dry mine (California Car Covers) in a commercial machine. The manufacture of mine does not recommend using Bounce or other dryer sheets. Not sure why.
Amazing how dirty they get over the course of a winter, even stored inside. My wife will be happy to get the dinning room back once the car goes out of the house.![]()
Good to know. I shall give it a try this year.I wash mine in our 30 year old center agitator machine every year and dry it in the dryer. No problems.

I use the big commercial units at the coin op laundry. More room , more water, leads to a more thorough wash.I distribute it evenly around the agitator Dale and the machine doesn't rock and roll at all. Watch for the spin cycle though in case it gets bunched up on one side.
Maybe if it's actually dirty. The only thing mine gets it a bit of dust on it and it comes out sparkling. But good advice nonetheless.I use the big commercial units at the coin op laundry. More room , more water, leads to a more thorough wash.

The good smell is a plus when you're hugging your Vette Stephane.Washed my 2 strech satin oem cover and my exterior cover (The wall) in my front load mashine with softer detergent, no probleme, dried them in my dryer a lower temp and they all came out perfect, I didn't know about dryer sheets, they all smell good now.
The laundromat i go to is self serve with large front loaders and the dryers are huge! i can climb into one lol!I have always brought mine to the laundromat and dropped off. I pickup the next day nicely folded and bagged, very reasonable prices also.

Costs me only $5.50 to wash my cover![]()
