Here’s a few from when Canada’s presence in aviation was doing well.

B747 taking off from Calgary. Probably heading to Hawaii or Tokyo.

The EXPO 86 liveried DC-10 promoting that event in Vancouver. That was a fun week out there that year.

CP Boeing 727-200 series. Was fortunate to fly first class in many of these thanks to Dad’s 27 year career at Western Airlines/Delta Airlines.

Canadian aviation pioneer Max Ward’s flagship B747-200 series. Never did fly on them but heard their service was far ahead of its time for airlines.

My dad worked for these guys for 27 years.

Not sure where the DC-10 pic is taken.

Second pic is a Boeing 720 in Calgary. One of these left Calgary every morning at 7:30 for Los Angeles. Slightly different than a B707.

The 3rd pic is a B 737-200 series. A real workhorse jet.

Pacific Western B737-200. This pic would be around mid 80s maybe. They were later swallowed up by Air Canada.

They were also one of the first airlines to receive the B767-200 series jet. I remember all the hoopla and promotion when they got this.

And the little known Hercules aircraft they operated for cargo service up north. Way up north.

Wardair took me to Hawaii and back for Grad 1980 … a 747
From my days working at CARA food services in 1980/82,I’m privy to know they served Black Forest cake from the dessert trolley. Lol. Wardair had some of the best desserts. Can’t tell you how much of that stuff wasn’t consumed by the passengers so,,,who enjoys it? Why the catering guys do as the truck leaves the ramp area.

Great pics throughout the thread Mikey.

I flew Ward Air and one was a memorable trip back from Toronto to Calgary in the late 80s right before Canadian bought them out so it would have been in late 88 or early 89. As I recall we had a choice of 3 main meals.. and booze was free and plentiful. Post meal we were offered free "special" coffees.. of which I "might" have had a few. Keep in mind this was back in economy class and not up front. I can just imagine what they got for free up there!! I got off the plane and thankfully my wife of 1 year picked me up at the airport because I was looooong past the point being able to drive. I was in my mid 20's and I remember it was one of the best meals I had in my life to that point.

Oh yeah. Forgot about that. Wardair served free liquor and beer. Combine that with altitude and....Well that’s why your wife picked you up !! :Cheers2:
