Can’t wait to see your car and hear the blowoff valve dump the boost. That’s a cool sound. Very impressed with how you got all that to fit under there. From the video it looks very clean.

PS: 509 is a pretty respectable number with a safe 10 psi boost pressure.

Errrrr..... sitting here patiently waiting and wondering why we aren't seeing a video clip of her running Dalen... lol...Or maybe see her at one of the RD show and shines this summer.... :thumbs:

Had to upgrade the fuel system, started to lean out on me at WOT. Twin Racetronix 255 LPH pumps Boost reference regulator and new fuel filter. Ditched the C5 fuel style system now running a return style off the fuel rails
 
So went on the Dyno on Friday, tuned my fuel system and made 597 RWHP!
Ran 11.6@128 mph Friday night
Notice a knock coming from the motor after a backfire in the burnout pit, ran the car anyway doing 11.7@118mph.
Started the tear down Saturday. Long story short, pulled the motor. Found broken piston, and 3 bent connecting rods.

So a update!
My 2006 Tahoe 5.3 L was a bust!
Ended up being a 2004 engine, still had the Gen 3 rods! Not a complete waste, it’s a good motor but not what I wanted. Going to put that one in the 66 C10.
So I found a 2005 5.3L out of a 2005 Silverado, 80000Km on it. This one has the good Gen 4 rods with the 24 reluctor wheel, exactly what I wanted!
I will post pictures of the difference in the connecting rods when I pull the pistons and do the ring gap this weekend.

2005,2006,early 2007 GEN 3 Ls 5.3L had the Gen 4 rods with floating wrist pins on the pistons. It is clear the difference and what one would be stronger. Going to gap the piston rings to handle the boost. Just doing some research on what the gap should be. Then throw the rods and pistons back in, using the original bearings and then good to go!
