BIG 3 Super Build "Sonofavette"

Saturdays results

Sp with 95% of the disassembly now done we are starting to move into the build stage

Today we were able to do the body bushings / rear diff and the caltracks trac bars . The 3" lowering blocks are in and the front suspension is partly disassembled .

Old bushing on the left (looking pretty used up) New Energy Suspension on the right .

All the steel mounts blasted and re-painted .

Installed and looking new .

Ford 9" / Caltracks and lowering installed

Ok so need to make up some brake lines and ebrake cable's next.

Ok its Miller time

Waited all day for Colin

Waited all day for Colin to come , but again no Colin

No matter we were still able to get lots done today :

Rob worked the suspension and brakes .
I worked over the LS3 and drive train.

AC compressor relocate done .

All accessories bolted up .

Removing oil pan to be replaced with Hummer oil pan .

View of the new motor mounts on the block.

Hummer Alpha pan installed .

Headers installed for clearance check.

Quick time bell housing fit up with headers .

The business end of these monster long tubes .

ZR1 clutch and flywheel .

Phase 2 on this weeks progess.

New motor mounts all ready for the LS3.

Belltech 2" drop spindles .

A little custom work .

Wilwood hub and rotor assembly.

Sick Wilwood front brakes .

The heart and legs go in next week

haha, Tony, Manny's trying to look after the old fart here and keep me busy until spring.

I'll make it yet, Manny -- I promise. Marg has been sick this week and one of my dogs (Sid - the 8 YO Cocker) needs some dental work (Tuesday) so he's been needing some attention.
Should be in good shape this coming week and would love to get around to see what you guys have accomplished.

Enjoyed chatting this evening and am looking forward to those mods we discussed for the spring.

Moving right along on our Sonoma project.

Super mini start installed :

ZR1 Clutch and Quick Time bellhousing installed .

Front shocks installed / Suspension is complete.

Oil relocation adaptor installed .

Front brakes done and looking awesome .

OMG Colin finally makes an apperance LOL

On the phone and workin the wrench at the same time ( multi-tasking )

How's this for custom , adapting a Corvette clutch master to the Sonoma . Rob say's top that eh !

Ok so were ready to install the drive train , however we need a 5/8" spacer for the trans to bellhousing . So we are at a stand still untill it arrive's

Good to see you and Rob today, Manny, Was great to see the progress of the Sonoma project.

Offered some help on the bell housing issue but you didn't seem too anxious to use a bunch of washers instead of waiting for the spacer.....Oh well, I'll keep trying.

I'll be Andrew is getting excited about the project. He's going to have one mean machine when that's done.

I'll drop back in again when you and Rob are back at it again. Maybe the LG 'system' you ordered for me will be in during the next couple weeks and I can drool all over that for a while.

Great 'do' btw -- nice and shiny.
