Anyone have any info on delivery times for C8's in the last few months

Mine was built May 29th and has been to KC for the second time now after going there then rail car not showing up and going back to BG for a month now second time to KC yard an hope it ships this time so guys it's a crap shoot I guess and I hope you all have better luck than me. As my new ETA is August 14th so 2 1/2 months after build date I might have it :Beatdeadhorse: kinda feels like this!!
Nice of you to do this Murray, awesome for those who don't know when their car was built

I checked in with the dealer yesterday it was my birthday looking for a C8 on 08/08 wasn't so lucky its still sitting in Kansas at the GM Fairfax yard. Im afraid if it doesn't make it out soon and the auto workers decide to strike it may be a really long time before we see the cars. 🤞

Would a strike affect the pick up and delivery of cars already made? Is it a general GM strike or specifically the line workers? Or is it the entire plant?

Line workers are in the union. Engineers are not. Some clerical staff likely are also in the union. With a strike the "line" shuts down. Processing for cars that are already assembled are not affected by any strike. Engineers do all the post line stuff like final tests etc. They likely also drive the cars to the lot, but that could be done by others as well. I've never heard of delivery being affected by a strike there.

I contacted the carrier, Jack Cooper Transport, to see if I can find anything out. They're the ones holding things at Kansas City from what I can tell. Not anticipating any information or help, but figured what the hell, may as well try.
DM Cam. I believe he has a contact at JCT

Car built July 17 went to rail yard to be shipped to Edmonton. Sat at rail yard till August 8 . Now on train to Edmonton ETA Aug 30. Here is an update of movement of my car from dealer. I think that anyone can probably get this information from their salesperson. I assume D means destination. Does anyone know what the other symbols mean? R1, Y(D,O), A(0)

I`m with you on that, my car was built May 16 and yet it sits in Fairfax . I am starting to think someone else got it.
We are all in the same boat here people, Mine was build shorty after yours in the May 29th week run i think actually built on June 1st. But what i do know is there is a pile of them heading west right now. the train is just west of Winnipeg right now. My sales guys showed me his VIN view screen today for the location of my car, and I know the head guy at jack Carter in Calgary told me he has 8 that are due on a train late this week early next week so I assume there is a bunch on the same train.

You think? You don't know? If you have your vin I can tell you exactly what day.
I looked it up on the VIN months ago now Just couldn't remember if it was the 1st or 2nd but since you put the pressure on me Murray I went and looked it up on the calendar as I do remember it was built on a Thursday and yes it is the 1st of June
