I am sure we saw a wreck at this same Buffalo location. This must be an older picture before the wheels fell off.
Wanted my 50 cents too .Bummer, nytimes wants you to create a subscription before you can read it. Stuff that.
Looking at the vehicles on the right, I'd say the pic was taken in early fifties. Looking at the Jeep on the left I'd say the design team got laid off and never called back, they don't look that much different today.
This is an obvious example of a 'Time Warp' occurrence under the railroad overpass. Typically only happens in space but this one obviously has made it's way to earth.Looking at the vehicles on the right, I'd say the pic was taken in early fifties. Right on Pep. Here's picture of 1950 CJ just like the picture. Where's the "Time Warp" here Rruuff??Heh yep the basic Jeep model has not changed much but that is how the "aficionados" like it and prefer it. I kind of get it too. It is also interesting that in the 50s they are still using a steam loco to shunt cars instead of the smaller Alco diesels.
Looks almost exactly like the 2022, except for the rims...LOLRight on Pep. Here's picture of 1950 CJ just like the picture. Where's the "Time Warp" here Rruuff??
