Anyone Else Fascinated By Old Locomotives?

Damn that is one stunning railway station. I was in a General Electric plant in Hamilton, Ontario once that was constructed in a similar fashion. Architecture was pretty classy at one point in time.

Thanks for sharing the picture.

Agree !! Swiss Army (logo) clock shows extremely accurate time almost 8:31 but looks like clock at other end is maybe Chinese knock off with different time......
Agree. maybe it's in a different time zone....or maybe it's that time warp we discussed before... lol...

WOW! Things you learn on this forum. Thanks a million. Here's how to use something I never knew about.
How to use Google Lens on Chrome desktop
  1. Find an image you'd like to search.
  2. Right-click on the image.
  3. Click Search image with Google Lens.

Ummmm... really? I never knew that one either 🤦‍♂️

I have been using Google Image and Google Lens for a couple years now to identify antiques that I don't know what they are. I'm at the point where I recognize most things but It's a great tool when I don't. Came across this in a garage I picked last week. Knew it was old. nice patina, cast iron base, gear wheels on each end, knew there were parts missing but didn't have a clue. Google lens came through. It's called a Trippensee Planetarium from the early 1900's The brass ball represents the sun and there would have been Earth and our moon attached, and often other planets and moons which were available to add on. A ladder chain connected the gears and they would rotate in succession around the sun to represent our little part in the solar system. Had it been intact, it would have been self explanatory. Second picture is a complete one from Google.

Well, I guess my questions are more easily answered. Todays quiz was the blue car with the white top? I right clicked on the photo, selected search with google lens... and there it was ...1961 American Motors Rambler. So do I win my own quiz?

I'm going for the win with Bugs Bunny.

To be a little more precise... it is a Rambler American. They had that body design for 3 years... 1961 to 1963. Sidevalve/flat-head 6 cylinder engines BTW.
