Observations?
Please tell me the sign next to the smoke shop does not say Slave Shop, Married before breakfast!
Smoke Shop? I'll bet, every time a coal fired train rolls by.
That is the entrance to a theatre Dave. Married before breakfast was a 1937 movie (according to dear 'ol Google).
The top words from what I can see the "VE" you see may actually be "YE"...I could be mistaken

Edit: It is actually "SLAVE SHIP" another flick
Seems to be another movie listed above that one as well

Yep, Slave Ship was a 1937 movie starring Baxter and Beery, so thats enough trivia for the day. I wonder if you got to see both movies for yer nickel?

Musta been a Vee Eye Pee, ya gots the entire office peering out the windows and the roofers are also takin a break.

Maybe royalty of some sort since the security around the car looks military. Look at the extra trucks under the special car for ride comfort too.

The Amtrak Cascades is a passenger train corridor in the Pacific Northwest, operated by Amtrak in partnership with the U.S. states of Washington and Oregon. It is named after the Cascade mountain range that the route parallels. Wikipedia
