4TH Annual Cambridge Coping Center Corvette Chartity Show

I will be there...:agree: my girlfreind and I were wondering if there were any attractions that are worth seeing there in Cambridge ?? We are sleeping there 2 nights going back up to Quebec on Sunday...

Great town on the Grand River with sightseeing, shopping and nice people.

Lot's to do and see in Cambridge. Also close to Kitchener/Waterloo, Guelph, Hamilton, Burlington, and of course Toronto which is only an hour away if you're that way inclined. Honourable mention must go to The African Lion Safari just south of town about 20 minutes away. It you have time it's a must see.

Here's our Chamber of Commerce link for all the info you might need.

Cheers,

An awesome day : Lots of cars (Pics to follow), lots of people, Wonderful host and hostess (Glenn and Roslyn Crichton of the COPING Centre in Cambridge), Good food, good weather, and for me a very special surprise:

A BC member by the name of Rob Roy -- know here as Steamer -- made a surprise visit to us at the COPING meet.
I'd talked to Rob on the 'phone and pm's and emailed him many times but today we met.....and a complete surprise to us all.
Great to meet up Rob -- and you kept that well under your hat -- except that you said you were "going on holidays for a while" -------RIGHT!!! Next thing we know he's 4000 miles east at our COPING fundraiser on Franklin Boulevard.

Hi Colin he says....I'm Rob Roy -- Steamer. LOL, it took me a minute to realize who I was talking to. I'm still in shock at his visit.

That was quite a surprise you laid on us Rob.......Absolutely terrific to see you and the 'vette. Kudos for the long drive by yourself -- God speed going home next weekend.

Will post pics later on the COPING event but just had to say what a pleasant surprise it was to meet our friend Steamer today as well as Danny and his g/friend from Thetford Mines Quebec.

Great to see you too, Danny -- our very own Ve2yzb hope you and the g/friend enjoy your visit to Cambridge and have a safe trip home tomorrow. Glad you got to meet Manny before his trip away. Next visit will be a little 'different'.:D

Dave from Wasaga (SMRSLD) made the trek to Cambridge today -- glad to see you again Dave. Tony from Welland, Wayne from Ancaster, Brian from Caledonia, Terry from Woodstock, Willy from Guelph, Marius and brother Henk from Brantford, Bish and wife Nancy, and many many more.

Cheers to all for coming and supporting the event and showing your wonderful corvettes. A really spectacular day.

Be my guest if someone wants to start a new thread for pics on the Coping event or post them all in here if you wish.

Cheers,
Colin.

The Draw Car up for Raffle!!!!

I had previously promised to take Tony Campbell (the owner of Franklin Self Storage) out for a ride and he took me up on my offer at the end of the show. He was the one who initially connected me with the Caravaggio. The look on his face as we accelerated quickly absolutely made my day.
This was such a great day and I really feel good knowing that this event helps support such a worthwhile cause! My wife, who has limited interest in cars at the best of times, even showed up and purchased some tickets on the car. What will I do with 2 vettes?
I'll definitely be at their draw in November with my wife to show our support further.

Another one of the crew that had a real nice day. Great to meet all of you although I will never remember all your names........... But I will not forget Terry (Woodstock CarGuy) and his beautiful Caravaggio..... What a nice ride..... and to think I parked so close to you..... sure made my car look like crap.
Great day..great cause
