Installed the 1965 deluxe C10 steering wheel. I thought it was a 66 but it’s actually a 65, Still cool 😎. The 1966 C10 steering wheel was out of a 66 Nova. This being 1960 Impala wheel, which they used on the deluxe option from 1960-1965 on the C10’s. Also got the dash back together, and cleaned up the wiring 👍

The 1966 C10 base steering wheel, I’m really happy with the deluxe upgrade!!

Installed my new android radio, it flips out to a 7” touch screen. I bought to use as my speedometer and connect to my obd2 port, for dtc codes and other diagnostic. Its’s truly amazing how far this stuff has came in the past few years!! It’s just like your tablet at home, able to download what ever kind of apps you want, back up cam, gps, am/fm radio, Bluetooth phone, all at a good price!! It’s not really fitting the vintage look I’m going for, but a guy needs some road trip tunes 👍
I suggest searching “android radio” on Amazon, it’s cool what you can get theses days.

Looks good.... And at the rate technology is advancing these days, that unit will likely be vintage in a couple weeks anyway...

Add this to the list of another thing I don’t need....🤣 2005 L33 5.3L. It has a cracked block, because antifreeze was leaking into the oil and out of the bellhousing bolts. But being a L33 it has the Gen 4 internals in a Gen 3 block, as well with flat top pistons, and a set of GM’s 799 heads (similar to 243 corvette heads) 👍. Good parts, if I ever melt down the turbo 5.3L in the C4 again 🤣

Finished up all the wiring under the hood and cleaned everything up! Hood mounted, headlights, signal lights wiring all rebuilt new. Back in 1966 they use to just dump the overflow coolant on the ground, so I mounted a old brake fluid container to catch it. Best I could do to open the hood and look new and hide the LS 😎. Going to get started on the exhaust next 👍

Almost done on this project!
Not mine been helping out a friend. It’s been a struggle, ended up some contamination causing fisheyes in the paint. He has lots of hours sanding and re-sanding this car. I just been spraying primer/paint and giving pointers along the way, but it’s almost done and looking good 👍

I would need the Ikea version of installation instructions for all those exhaust pieces. Insert part A into part B... If you have pieces of pipe left over it will just sound better...

They don’t look like much, but worth a trip to Calgary to pick up👍 A set of original steel wheels that clear disk brakes! Off a 71 4x4, actually it’s a hard find and keeping the original look. Just need to find some oem hubcaps.

I’m also growing attached to “loaner wheels” 🤔. I talked my buddy into considering selling them to me. Not sure on this one 🤷‍♂️
