Unbelievable

70,000 before taxes. My adds say sale through accommodation.
So let me get this straight. You're asking $70,000 plus 15% tax that will be paid to the dealer totally $80,500 to the private buyer for a 2017 Stingray in the winter?

My nephew is a salesman at a local Ford dealer. They do this all the time, and refer to it as a pass through. Basically if you can find a person to buy your car, they can do it through the dealership saving you the taxes on your next purchased vehicle. The buyer, no matter if it through the dealer or Service Canada has to pay the taxes on it. The Dealership basically does it as a courtesy allowing you to get what the car is worth retail and not just a trade in value. Dealership does the paperwork, but doesn't get much more than that. It is a great strategy for @wlgj

Ya, Cullen said they'd sell my Camaro. The only issue is they have to certify it. I wanted to sell mine "as is" so I didn't do it.

Yes

Like I said, I have no choice because the C8 has arrived. The dealer told me , if you wait for spring , you will make your money back. Predicting the future is not my strength , neither his. With trudeau carbon taxing us to death, raising interest rates , taxes on everything, etc. I got screwed. They gave me 63,000$ but they sold it for 68,000$to a whole seller and he will ask 80,000$ , I am sure.

I could of gotten 75,000$ in the summer.
Wlgj- so far you have 415 posts of which 325 are complaining about how you have been waiting years for the C8, how bad GM is to la belle Province, and how you mistrust your dealer. 50 are complaining about how your car came earlier than expected, and 40 are complaining about how the dealer is hosing you on the trade in for your C7.
Nothing would please every member on this forum more than to hear about your excitement after sitting in your C8 and driving it! Please try to be happy about getting the car! Glass half full!

I am just stating facts. As for driving, that won't happen till April at the earliest. My C8 is in the showroom, dirty. They are going to prep it for the 31st. I will be happy about it one day but for now... I cannot believe you counted my posts. Thanks for making me laugh. 😆
