Less than 24 hours after hitting picket lines, Unifor says it has reached a tentative deal with General Motors Co. in an agreement similar to the one it reached with Ford Motor Co. last month.

Union president Lana Payne says the terms include all of the items the company had pushed back against including pensions, retiree income supports and moving temporary workers into permanent positions.

The new tentative agreement covers almost 4,300 autoworkers at GM’s Oshawa assembly plant, St. Catharines propulsion plant, and Woodstock parts distribution centre.

Unifor says strike actions that began at midnight are on hold to allow the membership to vote on the tentative agreement.

GM Canada president Marissa West says in a statement that the agreement recognizes the many contributions of team members with significant increases in wages, benefits and job security.

The company says it expects work to resume at its three facilities this afternoon.

Awesome, being in Ontario you should receive it relatively quickly. I'm 3126 - looks like it may get done next Tuesday unless Oct 16 is a more productive than 130 units. Then we see how long the trip to BC takes. I have already traded in my 2023 as the dealer pre sold and provided additional funds as a result, so having withdrawal symptoms.

For some silly reason the guy on Midengine separates the list into three threads. Anyway, the numbers depend also on the number of the other models being built.

My car is going backwards! It was built on Sept 22, 4150 on Oct 2 and now back to 3800! My salesperson says maybe there is a part they are waiting on to complete the build?

I'd be curious about this too, mine's 3800 and it's been there for about 2 weeks. I'm not sure if it ever moved forward and back... I don't know if any my part selections would make a difference, nothing was under constraint for what I ordered.
