Some small changes going on .........

My same WCCH 245 heads. 65cc. ARH 1 7/8 headers. Pistons are -15cc so compression ratio should be around 9.9.

Cathedral ports like camshaft. 226 seems awfully small for a 402.

This is what I would choose, 234/238 118+4

It gives you zero degrees of overlap versus -2 that the 226/246 had.

I will drive real nice-no chop, make great torque and horspeower, and carry it.

Interesting. Thanks for the input. I will give it more thought. So many dam decisions..lol

Yep-you can go round and round forever on cams and stuff-I know sometimes that's all I dream about-wake up and take notes then go back to sleep!

Slow progress around holiday time but I spend the afternoon getting things in order....

Put on the Hinson trans mounts and hope to put the trans back in next week..

Welded AN fittings on transmission lines.. from there I will run braided lines to the cooler....

Pressure washed the engine bay....

Modified and fit the Moroso tank which will replace the Eforce coolant tank for more capacity...

Some extras....
The shop truck... for faster deliveries...

Another vette in the shop... 2006 ZO6 getting an LSX427 with ECS supercharger kit... Not finished tuning yet but so far 760 RWHP..

Some more build updates...

Made brackets and installed B&M transmission cooler with fan. Still have to do the lines.

Bad pic of dual fans..

ECS axle loops.. Safety is No. 1.....:D

Another update... Its a good thing it's winter so that it doesnt bother me that everything takes so long.
My heads will be ready next week and my short block in a few weeks. Then the fun really begins.:D

Today I finished the trans cooler install....ran braided lines from front to back...

Since I never use the eforce side covers, I figure maybe a nice black wrinkle finish on the valve covers will tie in better with the black of the eforce...

Any plans to post a vid at the track once this is all complete? I like what I see so far. What kind of numbers are putting down(hp/tq)?

I will make some videos next season. I was making 615 rwhp and 640 lbs torque. I dont know for sure what the changes will bring but I am thinkiing in the 700 area. Track times interest me more than hp.

Have you considered coming to Chicago with us buddy?

Look in the general section, half mile race in Chicago June 1st.

Lots of info on the CF forum as well.

Wannagofast.com is where the sign up is. Jan 18th registration starts.

Looks interesting. I will try and do it. I dont know if I would run or just go for the trip. It will depend on how I feel the car is holding up. Hate to blow a tranny that far from home !!

Progress has slowed to a halt while I wait on the short block to arrive.

Heads are back from shop...

Thats it for now.

Nice! You really should do the Chicago event. I bet all this hardware would sound really mean screaming down the 1/2 mile.

My engine is finally supposed to ship this week and the work will commence agains as soon as it arrives.
The parts list grew some so here is the completed list.

LME LS402
Caillies Dragonslayer crank
Caillies ultra billet rods / upgraded wrist pins
Wiesco coated pistons / gas ported / steel top ring
ARP studs
My WCCH Edelbrock 245 heads.... redone with new valves and springs
I will reuse my eforce supercharger to see what is the max I can get out of it. The build is done in anticipation of possibly something different next year. (twins ??)
Also being reused: ARH 1 7/8 headers, Alky control meth kit,

Other stuff:

Melling ported oil pump
KB bap
C5R timing chain / gears / damper
Morel link bar lifters
Brian Tooley max lift springs / titanium retainers
Ferrea Competition Plus valves
ATI crank damper 8% overdrive
B&M Transmission cooler with fan
Circle D converter Triple disc.... 2600 stall
Hinson Poly motor and transmission mounts
LS9 head gaskets
ARP crank bolt
Pat G spec custom cam
Moroso Coolant tank (to add a bit more capacity to the intercooler system)
Comp camshaft retainer
Vmax ported throttle body
ARP flex plate bolts
A gazillion misc. gaskets and seals
Custom made transmission brace

ACP World Challenge Hood (get underhood temps down a bit)

After realizing that I already had serious traction issues I decided to try to fix that the best I can by adding....
Z06 rear fenders
Weld RTS 17x11 rear wheels with M&H Racemaster 325/45/17 tires
Weld RTS 17x7 front wheels... tires still to be chosen
