Random Pictures You Took

We are in pretty friendly waters here. The ship is permanently moored inside Indonesian coastal water on the edge of a navy training area so things are pretty well monitored. This asset is a pretty big deal for this country and they protect it well.
There was a big demonstration a few weeks ago by 5000 fishermen but that was peaceful and fiscaly motivated.
I try and stay out of the dodgy parts of the world. Did that about 8 years ago... not fun.

Yesterday we did this.

Huge step in reducing greenhouse and toxic gases being dumped into our atmosphere. I feel good about this one.

Derek ... love this stuff ... this part explains why, all of the sudden, Alberta-hell just froze over.
That ship looks so, I'm not sure, maybe Mad Max-Like and reminds me of the set on the Big Island that I saw post Water World filming.

Being one of the Crane operators would be up my alley out there. That would be pretty cool doing picks on the high seas,

”Arrgh Billy, bend over and look at the wheels on the crane” “What wheeEEEeels”

And if by chance Pirates showed up,being the one who sees em first would be cool too. If there were Pirates as you said you’re in friendly waters.

The crane driver is just an easy target Mike. But here isn’t a place to worry about that.

These pedestal cranes are small ones but good and reliable. About 10 years ago in Brazil one of these types of cranes fell into the sea. Long fall but the driver popped out and survived. The crane went down 1500 meters.

Here are some bigger ones we from jobs I was on in Africa and Brazil.
I think you would enjoy driving these more Mike. 2000 ton lifts.

Awesome photos Mike ... but I know Freda really loves what's on the main floor at this "auto shack".
You and I will have to go back there together in a couple of weeks and then post those photos too ...

Whoa..... Don't fall for it guys.... I got the same email and did as I was told.... $300 million....yeah right.... all said and done and all I got was
$812 thousand.... what a disappointment....

$812K in Vietnamese Dong. Worth about $6.00 Canadian.

Why do we keep falling for this??

On a serious note there was a story on CTV Toronto this week about a lady who got an email from the bank to help them find a dishonest teller. Told her to withdraw $6K from her account and wire transfer it to India and they would be watching to see who picked it up. Some guy standing in line to do the transfer told her it was a scam.

She did anyhow and her money is gone. Now she wants the bank to reimburse her. Alright. The weird thing was when she spoke she sounded like a very intelligent woman. Just don't understand.

Unfortunately there is a scam around every corner and the scammers are getting smarter every time around. The key is every time we get approached or hear of a scam, to share the story with anyone and everyone we know that could be susceptible.
