I like warm places...... Problem with some is the roads are crap for sports cars. My parents winter in Arizona, etc. But as income tax states, you can end up owing the state tax money up too 10% of income. Also both have prescriptions for health. In the states they only let them get an emergency supply. Its $250 each to get the prescription from a clinic and by the time its filled near $1k each in bills. That's for one weeks supply........ Can see why Asia is popular for retired or ex pats to do business in. Merica is too costly no matter what it is..............
 
All the roads I have been on south of the 49th are a dream compared to MB's secondary roads. On my trip home from Moncton I was surprised how bad Quebec's roads are. And downtown Montreal is 4X4 country. Worse than Winnipeg! Never though I could say that. I swore I was never going to take my newly acquired Vette to Winnipeg and there I was bouncing around Montreal.
 
America is just as bad now road wise. Asia though is getting better and even Cuba has nicer roads now. A first in my area was police doing k band on Mt Lehman yesterday. Speed is 60 k's but most do 80 clicks or more. Detector is what saved me plus a slow pick up in front. Slow as in 70 clicks.........
