Official Canadian Pricing-it's out!

Really? My dealer submitted my order in July and Shane at the Corvette museum stated my TPW is 08/28. ‘24 production starts on the 12th of September I believe. If it gets pushed to a ‘24, I’ll probably back out. What a joke.
It can NOT be pushed to a '24. If the order went in as a '23 it will get built as one.

Does that mean if I get myself into dealer before Sept 12 and still get a 2023 sans price increase? Can’t be that simple but just curious if it’s really too late.
I believe the last day to order a 2023 was on or about June 15, 2023.

FWIW I ordered mine on June 30, but I believe it was due to some last-minute allocations my dealer got.
You got lucky to get an order accepted that late. Did you dealer not get allocations on June 8th when the other dealers did?

They did, and they called me in early June thinking I'd be ready to order, but then they didn't get as many allocations as they expected so I missed out on that round. But then they got some additional allocations right at the end of the month and I was accepted

So… did you talk to your dealer? What did they say?
Saw Dealer yesterday and here's what I found out.......
1) My trade-in from Nov 2021 is still valid for this C8 purchase.
2) I cannot make changes to my 2024 order as it is at Status 3000
3) They will not negotiate with me on the 2024 $12,000 price increase.
4) They will refund my $2500 deposit if I want to bail out on this car

I have e-mailed Chevrolet Canada Customer Service to ask them how they can do this to loyal Corvette buyers.

So are you taking delivery of the car or are you taking your deposit back?

My allocation paperwork that I signed off on had the price on it. My agreement was MSRP at the time of allocation.
Your dealer will not honour that price? You should have been price protected as long as your allocation was at 3000, you make no changes, and it went in before the price increases were announced.
Sounds like you have a less than stellar dealership.

Price for 2023 is not valid even if 2024 price has not be announced at the time of a 2024 order

Even if you had an order it is only for a certain model year. Though not all purchase agreements are the same all the ones I have seen clearly state. (I paraphrase) "If the dealer can not provide the car then the agreement becomes null and void." So even if you signed an agreement, if it's for a 23 then it becomes null and void.

It's unclear to me if we are talking about a 2023 or 2024 order. If the allocation is 2024 and is at 3000 then there should be a price set. After all, we are going to see more 2024 price increases I'm sure.

his allocation came in July so it for 2024, and there are no price protections

In 2023 GM price protected any sold order if it was at 3000 status before the price increase. I myself declined the protection on my order as I had to make some changes.
Why would this policy be different for 2024? Has there been any news on a policy change, one way or another?

There was no 2024 pricing announced to dealers even though units were being allocated. GM does not price protect once the model year flips.

the status code doesn't matter when there is year change. You are ether 2024 or 2023 and will pay either 2024 price or 2023 price.

I was talking to my local small town dealer (only got 3 C8s last year) and he said he has called the top 5 guys on his C8 list and forewarned them about a $12K price increase and offered to let them out of the deal if the didnt want the car any longer. All 5 said they were still in and wanted their cars. Maybe the price increase isnt as big of deal as we think?
