Maybe I could discuss my battery issue then with a Corvette enthusiast possibly I'm hoping.

yes I agree but this is very frustrating. Is this normal for a 1978 Corvette?

I have a question for whomever wants to answer. I talked to the shop today and they said they said they see no battery drain .my question is if I only start engine and do not drive it but only start up will the battery drain? In other words without actually driving but just starting up will that be sufficient to keep the battery charged or will it actually drain the battery especially in this 100f degree heat?

Would seem to make sense that you have taken a portion of the battery capacity to start the car but not let it run long enough to replenish the "withdrawal" with the charging system. Heat is a battery killer.

Interesting so maybe the fact that I am not driving car much at all could be draining the battery plus I have extreme heat heat also
