That was a bit of information to sift through Ruff but after many calculations using both fingers and toes and a lil conversation with Dr Google, Its only 649 km to red deer. If it works I would be willing to camp out there and travel with a group from there. If not there's still lots of time to figure out the best route. :canada:

Lol.... That's what happens when I get to play with numbers and words at the same time James.... Fingers and toes come in handy.... that's why i tried to keep all the numbers under 20.... lol... I'm sure there will be volumes of discussion to come yet on Who, What, Where, When, and Why .... o_O

Best case would be to leave from Red Deer, but the route is poor and adds miles. Leaving from Calgary or Edmonton is the same mileage and a shorter route.
Logistics will need some work. Stampeded week is tough for accommodations. Travelling as a group is the objective and a lot of fun.
Going to need more brains work this out!!!!!! Lots of time.

Should a Calgary Start to Moose Jaw or maybe Regina be preferred (to shorten the Friday trip for the evening), I have a Calgary Hotel in mind that is in the Southeast and away from much of the Stampede Shenanigans. The Location is close to quite a bit including a Flying J Shell for V-Power and a Denny's and also a minute to the Ringroad for Thursday's trip out. Should Calgary be the "start" then I would likely be needing a couple of things planned.
1) Have accommodation planned/setup for those who stay the night here.
2) Have a meeting place Thursday morning for those meeting up in Calgary (from Edmonton thru Calgary) - like maybe in Strathmore
3) A time for when we leave from Strathmore East as far as we can reasonably go (lunch in Medicine Hat is likely)

Now should the Red Deer - Edmonton - then East be decided that would be no problem (maybe Highway 16 is a bit more "exciting" than Highway 1 ???)

I do like the idea for a single contingent exiting Alberta - versus two separate segments meeting up somewhere in Saskatchewan if possible.
I suggest the start point be determined by the majority as a Red Deer Start is not out of the question - maybe thru Drumheller to Hwy 1 & Medicine Hat for late Lunch.
This is a good time to see how this can be an awesome cruise ALTA to SASK.

The planning for MITM is quite involved with Wayne and I working on different aspects and coordinating between us. Therefore I had not anticipated organizing the meetups as the cars gather and travel toward Winnipeg.
Agreed this is a good idea and from the West I'm positive someone (Spence, et al) will step up and coordinate this. I will be happy to join up when the caravan passes through Edmonton.
Now we need one of the guys from the East, North and South to do the same.

It's an amazing amount of organization that you and Wayne have completed so far! Thank you so much for your efforts!
As for the group meeting in Saskatchewan, once the route is finalized with dates, and if the group will be stopping in MJ or Regina, I can see if I can coordinate rates with hotels at either location and will start bugging people from the northern Saskatchewan area about the trip and plan a time to meet up before we leave SK for MB.

The over-night location I am thinking of is very close to me and we can surely all scare to hell out of the neighborhood practicing our cruise through it. We do have a stretch of curb across the street from our house that will accommodate parallel parking of about 50 corvettes (School & fence-line).
It just might also bring out a fella in our neighborhood who dresses up in full as Batman and rides a Batmobile. I am waiting to find out where this dude lives as he drives around here quite a bit - elusive from my camera phone so far - but I think Mike has seen him

Excellent, and Mike can play Security Guard and entertain passers by! :noooo:

I will be visiting the Manager at the Inn I have in mind. I obtained a soft estimate CAA rate of about $145 which includes breakfast. (not bad during Stampede)
It is located in a Business District and one block away from the Deerfoot Inn Casino & Fying J.
The parking lot is one-in and one-out (not a thru-parking lot) and they will be considering being able to section off for our Corvettes.
It is humble accommodation and the building is only in it's second year of operation - so it's new
They include beakfast. The Fying J Shell V-Power is 2 blocks away. There are two drive-in bay car washes within a block.
Cheers, Spence

I am not mandating this option yet ... merely laying it out as a suggestion ...
Slightly out-of-the-way however I am rather particular with the close-by amenities that I know Corvette Owners should like (and away from stampede shenanigans).
