Things are coming together at my end for the same MITM event weekend. I have confirmed the venue location next to the hotel where the Corvette Club of Manitoba will be hosting a practice autocross event on July 14th.
MITM participants are invited to join our club for this practice event. Watch for registration details & costs to be posted very soon. Follow up awards presentation BBQ evening will be hosted by Bernie & Bev from the Corvette Club of Manitoba.
Rain or shine it's on, Bernie's man cave can accommodate a 100 plus people, so no need for anyone to get wet should there be rain. Which in won't....................

Also behind the hotel is a large 4 story Casino Park-Aid and I've arranged for private Corvette only parking on one of the upper levels.
The Casino is supporting this event by providing a show & shine location, providing you with private parking, show your thanks and support by signing up with the Casino to get a Club Regent "Player's Card" @ no charge.
They will arrange to load it with some free play cash. Who knows you might win enough to buy a new C7 for the drive home.

Another update gang:

Wayne has been busy organizing and successfully securing the Winnipeg venues.
The registration form for the Autocross is now live on the Corvette Zone MITM event. Meet in the Middle 2018

Head on over and get signed up. If you have ever considered trying Autocross, this is a great opportunity to learn and participate in an event to develop your skills. If you are experienced in Autocross you will enjoy this one.

Secondly a small reminder, if you haven't ordered yet; get your MITM collectables ordered soon so you have them before the event.

Thanks Derek for getting up the autocross event registration form. Things are falling into place quite nicely here. Early registration sure helps me on my end, as we like to be well prepared with entrants to cut down on paperwork the day of the event.
There is a section on the autocross form asking about the number of times you've auto-crossed, or if you never have. Please fill this in. The plan is, if you never have, is to provide a co-driver to help you navigate the track. The track is set up in larger parking area and there are some curbed sections, but we try to design it such a way to keep you away from the curbed sections. You are not covered by any insurance, so do not over drive your skill set.
I will accept email money transfer for event payment. Once you have emailed me back the event registration form at [email protected] I will advise what email to use for e-mail money transfer. If anyone in interested in watching an autocross video from this venue check this link.

If you have questions or concerns please contact me at the email above. Or PM me...

This is going to be a fun filled weekend.... The Corvette Club of Manitoba members are looking forward to meeting everyone from across Canada and offering some great Manitoba hospitality.

One not so small general reminder,

The MITM sales items will be only available for a limited time. I will be collecting the orders and placing my order with the vendor by May 1st. Then shipping all the items out in May when I am back home.

I do not plan on loading my car and travelling with this stuff or buying and shipping a bunch of it on spec to Winnipeg. I'm going on this trip to enjoy it ... not run around all weekend selling T-shirts and caps. So please spread the word guys...once this order is in, it's done. The items will not be up on the CZ store from that day forward. @Nik we will likely need an info burst on this as well so anyone who thought they could just pick this stuff up in Winnipeg or anytime before or after needs to know that won't be the case. I would like to make sure anyone who wants something from MITM gets it before it's too late. I have discussed a group order for the Winnipeg guys and gals with @81Wayne already so that's in the works.
The reasoning for all this is simple. As the organizer, and to keep you all "Spam and Commercial free"; upfront all of this is coming out of my pocket and the number of combinations and sizes makes it very sketchy for me to just place a large order and hope to sell it all. I do not want to end up with boxes full of unsold and unswearable stuff. (Ladies medium doesn't fit me plus the scoop neck makes my man boobs look big)
The proceeds of these sales are going to fund the events trophies and prizes. If sales are good and I go past even, the extra few bucks will be donated to charities on behalf of CCF and CCOM.

Thanks guys,

Derek

Heads up people, I got a ticket in the mail today for excessive speed
Photo radar set up somewhere on highway 1 west of moosejaw city limits. Apparently it's an 80 zone. I was doing 108..
138.00 bucks later.
Make a note for the cruise to the middle.

No points for photo radar as they don't know who is driving.... A fine for the registered owner only.... We will be fine Rick... If we stick close enough together, the photo radar will only reste fast enough to pick up every third car....
