True that Richard.

Spending isn't a bad thing. It's what you spend it on that matters.
On another note. The PC's are really trying hard to lose the next election. Why they elect morons to lead the party is beyond me. Put one smart guy in the lead and they'd get a majority in a landslide. I get tired of hearing everything they think is wrong without saying what they would do.
Example: Get rid of the carbon tax, but they have no plan for environmental change. Tell me what you'd do and I'd consider you to lead us.

For envro change more people need to drive fuel efficient Corvettes. Someone on here even said it is more efficient than their Rav4. So what do they do? They slap a "luxury" tax on fuel efficient cars. Plus the Corvette more than most likely uses less gas per year than other cars as the majority of us only drive them for six months per year

It's a big world out there.. We are a piss in a bucket when it comes to environmental polluters.

lol.... Agreed. That was my Rav4 Richard. I consistently average 10.2 L/100km. Driving errr...slightly more aggressively with my C7, I consistently average 9.4L/100km. On a long trip using cruise control (never use 4 cyl mode), I average 7.2 - 7.4 L/100 km...

Agreed, but we can only do what we can do.
Anyway, it was just an example of PP's politics.

We are barely a rounding error. The so called “ carbon tax “ on individuals is nothing more than virtue signaling and a blatant cash grab. If the entire Country of Canada stopped all emissions tomorrow there would be no meaningful difference in measurable “ Global Warming “ a year from now. I am referring to domestic emissions here. Of course the climate alarmists will and do say that it’s not just our domestic emissions but the effects of the fossil fuels that we export.

But according to the current government exporting our natural gas to the several countries that have come calling to buy our gas, practically begging in some cases, there is no economic case for doing so. Which seemingly implies that they feel the coal Germany for an example will continue to burn is cleaner. The world needs energy and exporting our LNG would not only lower global emissions by displacing dirtier fuels but contribute significantly to our bottom line. Given the doubling of our national debt over the past 9 years, a larger increase than all previous governments combined right back to Confederation, we could certainly use the revenue. :Banghead:

They would win a majority if they had Charles Manson as leader given how fed up taxpayers are with the current dog and pony show that is in charge in Ottawa. Be that the Liebrals, the NDP or now the separatists who are now holding us hostage.

You are dead wrong. It's a deterrent to the industries that pollute. It is NOT a tax grab it's a global agreement with other countries to reduce our carbon footprint. Lead by example at worst. We get money back from the feds to compensate for our part in the accord. Yes, it will take a lot more effort from the worst countries to make a difference, but again lead by example. Hopefully it will shame those other countries into doing their part.
And once more if the provinces come up with their own plan there is NO carbon tax!! All the provincial governments, that aren't doing their own plan, is complain about the carbon tax.

Um, all the polls conducted currently say the public doesn't want an early election. To me that says they have no faith in PP either.

I take your point on wanting the details. There are some that want more than broad strokes, and so far all that we have got from the Conservatives is directional (kill the carbon tax, invest in technology etc). BUT, the time for a fully costed budget is when an election is called. It will cost 100's of thousands of dollars to publish a costed model today, and then do it all over again when an election is called. No party has ever published multiple budgets as the official opposition before an election.

Wait on it a few months, and the clarity you are referring to should come in due time in the form of a budget. It won't have ALL the answers, but it will indicate how much money will be allocated to each line.

The people voting Liberal, NDP, and the Bloc do not want an election because they know with certainty their party would lose...badly. That makes up about about 48% of voters spread across 3 parties VS 43% support all going to one party, the CPC.

Said differently, there is no other singular party that has the support like the Conservatives do accordingly to the polls. To me it says Pierre has more than double the support than any other federal party leader.

Guess it depends on how you look at it.

It's still a majority that don't want it. That is the way our system works. Majority rules.

I would be interested in seeing those polls. Internal Liberal polling I would suspect, lol . One of the main reasons why the NDP are still supporting this government, other than pensions, is because the NDP have apparently about $365,000 in their coffers and still owe money they borrowed in the previous couple of elections gaining one seat for their troubles. The Tories on the other hand have about $35,000,000 in the pot . As for the separatists, we know what they want. As for them now holding the balance of power with 33 out of 342 total seats and calling the shots essentially, and only running candidates in Quebec I personally feel that there is something seriously wrong with our electoral system.

$365K vs $35M. I had no idea the poverty gap was so large!
