Current BG production estimate

Parts / stock on the line needs to be swapped out, from my '21 to '22. Not all of it of course, but this "event" happens every changeover.
Sometimes there's a gap / empty line space between the last '21 (or out going model year) and the first '22 (in coming model year). The gap in the line could be five minutes, to whatever is required (in the c8's case it could be more than an hour), hence the small production numbers on "opening day".
The line may have been shut down, or even run slower. This helps the assemblers familiarize themselves with new parts and methods (where applicable) during new model year start up.

Ya, I found it. GM has had that for years. I love this bullet point.
  • A driver's instrument panel that stays dark so the driver knows to turn on all the lights.
It never worked in the 60's! lol

I welcome this intervention by "Big Brother". Too often I see people driving at night w/o any taillights and 99.9% of the time when I flash my lights at them or otherwise try to point it out, they're clueless and don't change anything.

I always laugh when they have no taillights on and I flash from behind and they pull over thinking I'm a cop or something lol

Climbing slowly
130 > 281 = 152
Edit: Spreadsheet fixed. Day 1 was wrong which screwed several things up.

Not sure what's going on, but they won't hit any where near 40,000 units if they don't hit the target.
Unless they are making a load of RHD cars.
638 > 797 = 160

Your observation on possible RHD builds seems plausible given the reported numbers.... the delta is roughly 12 - 24 cars a day off of the "mark", which would account for the numbers Australia and UK are reporting they should be getting... but who knows.

798 > 960 = 163 (949 to 960 are off continent orders I.E. Australian etc.)
From here on out it appears we can only tell if a N/A car is produced and even that might take a day or two. Mark Riel is unsure.
