Current BG production estimate

Sooner than that we will have used inventory as people trade in for the Z06 or try to cash out while
they can still break even after tax. This always happens when the new model variations start showing up.
You have to remember probably half the names on lists are people speculating looking for a quick flip
and don't care if GM puts them on a no fly list :)

In any event they probably won't be sitting on lots for long but the premiums will be gone and waiting list will be much shorter.
I am not sure what percentage Canada gets of production but first two years of production is about 46k vehicles if they do another 30k in 2022 and 2023 we reach 106k total if Canada get 10% of production that 10k vehicles total over 4 years
Or 2500 Corvettes per year for all of Canada. Will that satisfy demand ?????

PS I have not received my C8 yet still on a train coming across Canada. I will have a better idea about satisfying demand once I have actually driven the car. I can't wait :Hurray:

You won't see brand new stock items for at least a year. My uneducated guess is perhaps by next fall you MIGHT see some, but right now lists are at least a year long.
Only when the waiting lists disappear will you see C8's for dealer stock. The caveat will be if Bowling Green can build more 2021's than they have orders for. And those cars will most likely go to the big U.S. dealers first.

There are a lot of people sitting multiple lists. So what appears to be a long list may actually not be as it appears.
As one person gets a car their name comes off 4 lists, unless they are a flipper ! I just hope that the real enthusiasts can get the cars and keep them out of the hands of the flippers ! Only stock you will see is dealers asking over MSRP

Some dealer in Red Deer has C8's in stock over MSRP (Wheaton)

8 to 9% I believe there were 1811 2020 C8's sold in Canada.
If memory servers there was about 20,000 2020's built

Trust me, the lists are long. Demand is higher now then it was in 2019. The number of people on multiple lists are a small percentage. However there will also be walk aways.
People are being told it will be 12 to 18 months before they see one. Also there are dealers with lists longer then the amount of Corvette's they will expect.

The 2019 production ran for 20 months and Canada got 8.57%, 2986 cars, for 2020 Canada got 7.3% or 1490 cars. Mexico got 139 and the Middle East 162. Now right hand drive is being added for Japan, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. That's another 1000 cars for them. Canada is not going to get 2500 cars per year. Dealers are already taking deposits for 2024 lists so demand is going to stay for quite a while. I agree with Murray, GM would like to return to a regular production cycle and have an early start to 2023
for both the Z06 and 70th anniversary.

Totally agree and all of this is dependent on the supply chains keeping up ! Just very happy mine is in transit :)

Not sure my dealer is a pain to get status codes from ! I have a serial number so I know it is built !
Mine was built July 26th, I checked with my dealer today it is still showing Code 4150, which means it is still in BG. Hoping for some news in a week or two! My dealer received a C8 last week which was built the day after mine, so I guess individual orders can be randomly all over the map!

Where are you located? Usually cars don't sit around once invoiced. It's strange.

I hear that sometimes they pull vehicles for Quality Assurance checks and that can delay shipping.
I guess that's a good thing as if they find anything they fix it at the factory! On the downside you
have to wait longer :(
As long as I get it before the snow flies I'll be happy. But then again Fort Mac had snow yesterday!
