So, are cars built for Canadian market not considered export?
Correct, I could be wrong, but they are not. Not too many differences now a days. Both Metric and U.S. systems are now built in together and can be switched via software. etc.

At this pace it looks like they'll make just over 26,500 2021 C8's so a fair increase compared to the 20,368 2020 production. It will be interesting to see if used sale prices are affected but I suspect we'll see that more in 2022. Kudos again to Murray for keeping us up-to-date with this daily production info...even though he's been driving his 2020 C8 for a LONG time now. :Hurray::Cheers2:

The "Birdies" are tweeting that there will be close to 26,500. Perhaps a 100 or so higher, but not much higher than that.
BTW, I just got back from taking the dog to the groomer. Even my dog loves riding in the C8! lol

If they start 2022 MY right away without a pause, and build to Sept of 2022 that would be a full year of production
920 per week for 52 weeks that's 47840 cars in 2022 more than they built in 2020/21 combined. Even if you give them a month off they can knock out 44000 units ! Supply might catch up ! But everyone now wants a Z06. The C8 is going to be more common than a Chevy Bolt :p

It will be interesting to hear the stories from the Corvette Team as to the types of premiums they
had to pay to keep the Bowling Green plant running while other GM lines had to shutdown. But at
the end of the day it's pretty amazing to get these cars out in a pandemic ! At least something to look
forward to ! Kudo Bowling Green Team and Zora for the mid engine dream. Tadge and crew for making it real !

The corvette is a money maker for GM. Not only that, but it's their Marque product.
They kept the Caddy and some truck lines running and sacrificed the less profitable cars.

BTW, I'm told that the Corvette production cycle isn't from September to August, but rather earlier in the year, so there might still not be more than 26000 2022's
That would make the 23's the most abundant model.
Remember the Z06 will be a '23 and that will likely arrive fairly early in 2023 or late 2022
