Current BG production estimate

There are a few (very few) lucky buyers that just happened to luck in. Most have been waiting 10 to 14 months
10 to 14 months, I would of been very happy with that but 25 and counting!!! And by what I see here, and you guys are often right , I might not even get one before autumn and maybe not at all. Very discouraging and I think my dealer is not being honest about the situation. How could he not know he was not getting anymore 2022s and this site knew?

Many others are in your situation. Your dealer could be dishonest, but I'd have no idea. I can only tell you what I know. I do believe that GM and almost all other car manufacturers are way behind the times in how to deal with customers. If I could buy a car from Amazon, I would! lol

I know that feeling. I placed order Feb 5, 2020, but I did finally get it, will bring it home Thursday when the roads are dry. Salesman gave me a crash course in the controls today.

Congrats!! I look forward to seeing yours in the flesh. Mine will be sitting at Humberview for a couple of weeks until i get home from Florida near the end of the month. Several friends have volunteered to pick it up for me and get some of the break in km on it so it is ready to drive full out when I get home. I have graciously declined.

Picking it up tomorrow..

You have such thoughtful, unselfish friends.

You already have a '21 C8? Won't be as much of a treat as when you got the 1st one, but still nice.

Hopefully AdC821's new 2022 C8 doesn't spend all it's time getting the transmission fixed like his 2021, and he can actually drive it! So, I'm sure it will be an even bigger treat than the first time!

Happy for you. So I guess I am not the only one who has waited this long.

I already have a minor issue; The fuel level is stuck on ¼ full, 195 kM DTE even though the tank is full. Service says prob a sticky sender, just drive it, it will probably fix itself in a couple days. Anyone else have this?
I had the opposite! lol. Always showed empty, but it corrected it self after a restart. Let's hope it fixes itself

Notice on Murray's speed sheet it shows 2022 builds the week of May 9th.

2023 production was supposed to start that week.
2023 starts "that" week. It could start on the Friday. As before so far they have started the next model year mid week.

He gets 7 a year, total
Wlgj, do you know how many he's had so far this year? Some dealers have been told by district managers how many cars they will be getting this "year". This year however, includes 2022 and 2023 models. Canadian dealer
allocations are down this year and many dealers got nothing from November to March. The top 3 dealers only got 3 allocations each to close out this model years ordering cycle and they're not happy either.
Alberta didn't work out for me. My sister lives in Calgary and I tried to get on a list using her address and the dealer didn't want to sell to me. (I also don't like the fact that historically it takes weeks longer to ship the cars out to western Canada than it takes to drive the car straight to me in Ontario in about 10 hours non-stop).
Some dealers got a final 2022 allocation today. I would call your dealer in the morning and ask if they got an allocation Thursday. You said your number 2, maybe your 1 now and will get the first 2023 allocation!
Find out how many allocations they have so far this year, if they got one this week and if they've been told how many they will receive this year? We can probably answer your question fairly accurately if you can get us this information. What are you wanting to order, is a 70th anniversary in the cards for you? The timing is sounding good to be honest. Are you also on a Z06 list?
Going to address Canada's allocation predictions I have been reading. The 2022 production will not be more than 2021. It's going to finish around 25,500 cars. Looking back:
2020 production 20,368 cars, Canada 1490 = 7.3%
2021 production 26,216 cars, Canada 1889 = 7.2%
2022 production approx. 25,500 cars, currently on a pace to send 1647 cars to Canada =6.46%
GM Canada sales were down 23% in the 3rd quarter of 2021 (2022 production started Sept 8th)
Corvette sales were down 12.79% in the 4th quarter of 2021 and only 375 cars came to Canada.
I will address why are allocations are down in another thread.
