Not funny Murray!! well maybe a little.
OK, Not funny. I almost soiled my pants when I looked at this today. Just getting back from Spring Mountain and trying to catch up on the news. My car is suppose to be built next week as well.
New restrictions, so are they saying buy with magnetic ride, will be prioritized if we want a C8 quicker, now? I'm about to give up with this looney company.
One week they say , if you want mag ride , your order will be longer to get. So I re-ordered without ! Now I am not sure what to do. 26+ months of waiting , for something I am not sure if I will even get this year , is enough. I am not a patient man , and I think I was , in this case, but enough is enough. My dealership is useless in giving me information, also. It’s not the company, it’s the crazy world we live in today
Well before the Z06 CTF's rolled down the line! Thanks for passing Mark Riel's info. along in this forum Murray.
Looks like my car VIN 21018 was built yesterday. 60 cars into the day, then they built another 107 after that. With 2 shifts running, I would guess it was built just before last break on the first shift?

Twenty six months has to be a new record. I almost feel guilty having received mine 7 months after I placed my order at Humberview in early August. My good friend is picking his up next week from Humberview after waiting 8 months. However, that being said it is worth the wait. The improvements over a well equipped 2019 Grand Sport, which was a great car and I loved it, are quite remarkable.Yes I can see that being frustrating, you need a different dealer as well. 26 months, I haven’t heard of anyone waiting that long.
Is there a dealer in Ontario that could get me one quicker ? Or am I too late to even consider this?Twenty six months has to be a new record. I feel your pain- especially due to the multiple posts about your frustrations with getting a C8,with your dealer, and with GM in general. I'm surprised you haven't bought something else already! But the C8 is definitely a great car. I can't say whether it's worth the wait you've endured-you will have to tell us one day!Is there a dealer in Ontario that could get me one quicker ? The critical thing is to find out from any dealer who you are working with to buy a C8 is how many allocations they received in the previous year i.e. 12 cars in calendar year 2021, or roughly one car a month. Then find out how many confirmed orders are in front of you. Also ask for an educated estimate of how long your wait is likely to be. If they won't give you those numbers or even worse don't have a clue then move on quickly as they are not an informed dealer or they are not wanting to be honest with you. If they only get three cars a year and you are order number 10 in the pipeline you know you should move on to another dealer. Unfortunately many dealers are not very forthcoming with that information or their sales staff don't know how the system works. For smaller dealer you should probably deal with the sales manager who might have an idea how the system works. I would be very reluctant to order from any dealer who sold less than 10 Corvettes last year as they just don't know the system well enough to navigate it. The C8 production has been a little lower than the C7 was but the main problem has been the rave reviews and owner experiences are creating a larger demand for the car than production can meet. I understand that the big three dealers in southern Ontario are already sold out of model year 2023 allocations therefore my recommendation is to find yourself a dealer who has allocations in the area of 20-30 Corvettes a year and start dealing with them.Is there a dealer in Ontario that could get me one quicker ? I hate to tell you, but you'd likely be driving one now if you had ordered through Spencer's a year ago. If you have the cash you could order through them now as well, but you still be waiting a year, so if you think you'll get one within the next few months I wouldn't bother. Is there a dealer in Ontario that could get me one quicker ?
