Classic warbirds and other aviation vids.

Looks like something from the 70's, maybe very early 80s but less likely, based on no glass in the cockpit and all analogue gauges. But the joystick is a bit more modern so could be a retrofit. Bit hard to read but looks like English words so it isn't a Russian bird. I don't believe it is one of the main American fighters of the era but..... Good one. What is it? LOL

I have a question. Can someone please explain to me the letters on the side of the aircraft, what they mean?
Military aircraft will have a numerical/alphabetical identifier to identify specific aircraft in inventory. As well the squadron, the air wing, and the flight group are also indicated via a letter or a number. Often times specific squadrons also have a graphic image as the squadron identifier.

Civilian aircraft it’s just the “license plate”.
