Discussion between the test pilot and the design engineer.
Pilot: Flying well and steady
Engineer : Ok, now flip the switch to the sweep the wings forward.
Pilot : Are ya sure?
Engineer: Well, it worked on paper.
Pilot: Ok, but just so ya know, I've got my other hand on the ejection lever.

Obviously designed to only fly in two directions...Up...and Down....
Down isn't generally regarded as flying. It's usually called crashing! ;)

Apparently it happened in Buffalo, New York. Agree Dave very lucky if there is such a thing in a crash.

My Father in law was a pilot (air force and Air Canada) he once noted that if you start skidding or lose the undercarriage on landing the beast will just go wherever it wants. Whatever it hits or misses is simply luck.
